City Attorney referred to Code pro -
vision for living expenses of S50 for each day for which overnight accommodations
are required . Councilman Henderson also questioned $ 122 , 000 payment to DMJM and
City Manager felt it should be indicated that despite the fact additional plans and
specifications suspended , there are four major projects for which DMJM must main -
tain inspection services in the field and management costs , and that this is pro -
bably one of the lower payments DMJM has received . Motion carried .
Councilman Weymouth commented relative to the forthcoming trip to Washington , D . C . ,
by the Mayor and Administrative Staff that everything possible should be done to
get Redwood Shores back in action and whatever can be done to promote resumption
of activities is desirable . He added he would like the City ' s representatives to
go to Washington feeling they have the support of the Council , and made the motion
to concur in the recommendations of Mayor Bury and Staff to meet with FHA , seconded
by Councilman Keckley . The consensus was that Council had been fully informed and
in accord as to the need for a delegation to Washington , and who should logically
represent the City there .
Motion carried . ( MINUTE ORDER #69 -241 )
COMMUNICATIONS :
Alejandro Melendrez , Chairman , Board of Directors , Community
Play Center , 703 Vernal Way , Redwood City , stating need of funds
to continue their bilingual program, and requesting their Director ,
Mrs .
