Mayor <br /> Bury asked that Staff respond to questions raised with a report to Council . <br /> ( Memo 2/25/69 ) <br /> Councilman Henderson moved to introduce Ordinance amending Section 32 of Ordinance <br /> No . 1382 , the Salary Ordinance of the City of Redwood City , relating to position <br /> of Acting Deputy Police Chief , seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried . <br /> Councilman Keckley moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO . 5917 DESIGNATING PORTION OF PUBLIC <br /> STREET BETWEEN WHIPPLE AVENUE AND STANDISH STREET AS WINSLOW STREET, seconded by <br /> Councilman Petersen . <br /> Staff report stated this request is to name two blocks of the new street , from <br /> Whipple to the existing Winslow Street , "Winslow Street " and that the three prop - <br /> erty owners who would have to do so . City Manager reminded Council of action <br /> taken previously on Staff recommendation for a street name change in this section <br /> and which was later rescinded because of the protests received . He advised that <br /> because of further development on this street , the problem of numbering had been <br /> reviewed and staff recommends a simple renumbering of the two block extension of <br /> Winslow Street to Whipple Avenue be made , rather than a street name change . <br /> Motion carried on roll call vote . <br /> Report of Council Fringe Benefits Committee concerning Safety Workers Disability Benefits . <br /> Councilman Weymputh , Chairman of Council ' s Committee , advised report had been re - <br /> ceived from the Actuarial Study requested, and after meeting held this morning <br /> with Committee , Auditor , City Manager , and Safety Worker ' s representatives , <br /> further questions were raised by the Safety Workers and request made that they be <br /> permitted to review Study and report back later to Council Committee . He advised <br /> report , which had been also submitted to Council , seemed to have some merit but <br /> that no recommendation ready at this time . <br /> Councilman Petersen moved to accept report as submitted , seconded by Councilman <br /> Rosselli and carried . ( MINUTE ORDER #69-37 ) <br /> Councilman Petersen moved to adopt ORDINANCE NO . 1392 , AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY APPROVING THE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY OF CERTAIN <br /> UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED "HAMILTON WAY ANNEXATION" AND HEREIN DESCRIBED, <br /> AND HEREIN ANNEXING SAID TERRITORY TO SAID CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, seconded by <br /> Councilman Arnett and carried on roll call vote . <br /> Councilman Rosselli moved to adopt ORDINANCE NO . 1393 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE CONTRACT BETWEEN THE COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND THE BOARD OF ADMINISTRATION OF THE CALIFORNIA PUBLIC <br /> EMPLOYEES ' RETIREMENT SYSTEM, seconded by Councilman Henderson and carried on <br /> roll call vote . <br /> ACCOUNTS PAYABLE , Nos . 70595 to 70779 , inclusive , totaling $ 66 , 142 . 02 , were approved <br /> on motion of Councilman Keckley , seconded by Councilman Arnett and carried . <br /> COMMUNICATIONS : <br /> City of Long Beach requesting Council ' s support of a <br /> resolution similar to that adopted by their Council <br /> supporting Senate Bill 4 , regarding preemption by <br /> State of certain activities they believe should be <br /> local ( copy submitted to Council ) . <br /> Town of Portola Valley advised of their Council <br /> adopting a resolution requesting State legislation <br /> to provide for effective relief and tax reforms for <br /> property owners ( copy submitted to Council ) . <br /> 'a <br />
