2 '72 <br /> period , however, dewatering program had continued <br /> pumping standing water clear of all priority areas , <br /> clearing them for an early start on projects when <br /> rain ceased . <br /> He stated the completion of the interior waterway control <br /> structure crossing under Marine World Parkway helped <br /> to drain interior water during this rainy period . <br /> He reported designing had progressed during this period <br /> for Dolphin Subdivision #1 and Peninsula Parkway , past <br /> Redwood Shores Subdivision #1 , and to be brought for <br /> City review and checking by middle of this month , 31 <br /> houses commenced , including 8 models , 36 townhouse <br /> foundations were graded in Redwood Shores Subdivision <br /> #1 , of which one -fourth had already been sold , and 15 <br /> other projects going into design stage . <br /> He further reported several meetings had been held re - <br /> lating to the next sale of bonds with determination <br /> not yet having been made as to what priorities or <br /> amounts would be set . <br /> In reply to questions concerning Urban Design Committee ' s statements in their <br /> Minutes concerning location of water tank and f irestation , and whether Council <br /> would be given an opportunity to review and approve the sites , City Manager <br /> advised Committee had been working on the design factors with DMJM and desire <br /> to incorporate utility structures into landscaping of park areas and open spaces <br /> in an endeavor to reduce amount of land which might be taken from the tax roll . <br /> He advised firestation had been ohly tentatively placed in waterway park , but <br /> it was hoped before submitting plan to Council for approval , Staff recommenda - <br /> tion would cover location proposals which would be compatible with the area and <br /> do the jobs intended . <br /> Council questioned the publicity in this evening ' s paper concerning a proposed <br /> gigantic State anti-pollution sewage program specifically involving Redwood City , <br /> reference presumably being the Bay-Delta Program, and if Staff had received the <br /> actual report . <br /> Mr . Reiter replied that not much is specifically <br /> known about this plan as of now , but that gener- <br /> ally it was known that the outcome of this study <br /> would affect all communities in the Bay area in <br /> connection with sewage treatment and storm water <br /> disposal , and all awaiting further details for <br /> guidelines . <br /> City Manager responded that this report had not as yet been officially released , <br /> and he would prefer not to make any comments at this time as felt Staff should <br /> review the report when it was received before making a recommendation to Council . <br /> He advised of the questions which would be asked of the State Water Quality <br /> Control Board relating to the proposed Strategic Consolidated Sewerage Plan <br /> now in specific planning stage . He said, however , the State Water Quality <br /> Control Board had consistently stated that the SCSP Plan is compatible with the <br /> Bay-Delta objectives , as they understand it . It was suggested City Manager check <br /> out all available information concerning this report as quickly as possible . <br /> REPORT OF BID OPENING , Electric Forklift Truck .
