<br /> Councilman Weymouth felt if zoning approved , Use Permit should not be taken for
<br /> granted , Mayor Bury expressed his concern for increased traffic problems in
<br /> this already congested area , Motion tied on roll call vote , Councilmen Arnett ,
<br /> Weymouth , and Mayor Bury voting no , Councilmen Henderson , Keckley and Rosselli
<br /> voting yes , Councilman Petersen being noted absent .
<br /> City Attorney stated tie vote resulted in no action being taken on this matter ,
<br /> which , in effect , resulted in denial of the requested rezoning . He also noted
<br /> applicant could not request further rezoning for this parcel of property within
<br /> one year, although Council or Planning Commission could initiate such a Resolution .

<br /> Councilman Keckley moved that Planning Commission be requested to commence a study on
<br /> the updating of the Zoning Ordinance to provide definitions , allowable zoning
<br /> areas , parking requirements , density , etc . , for this type and other similar con-
<br /> valescent homes , and make a recommendation to Council , seconded by Councilman

<br /> Councilman Keckley moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO , 5922 GRANTING EXCEPTIONS TO CERTAIN
<br /> PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 30 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, BEING THE SUB-
<br /> DIVISION REGULATIONS OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY-STANNLEY C . SWARTZ & CO . , seconded
<br /> by Councilman Arnett ,
<br /> Planning Commission at their meeting of February 25th reviewed the Tentative Map
<br /> of Dolphin Subdivision No . 2 , which required the following two exceptions be
<br /> approved by Council :
<br /> ( a ) Lot width having a minimum of 30 feet instead of 50
<br /> feet , as shown on the map .
<br /> (b ) Lot areas having a minimum of 4 , $O0 square feet instead
<br /> of 6 , 000 square feet , as shown on the map .
<br /> In reply to question concerning depth of the shore lots , Planning Director ad-
<br /> vised more than 100 ' of dry land and some 30 ' portion under water, and easements
<br /> over land for riprap maintenance purposes , but owner would have right to build
<br /> piers , floats , etc .
<br /> City Manager advised control on type of float and pier construction would probably
<br /> be by covenants at time of purchase and building permits thereafter . Motion
<br /> carried on roll call vote , Councilman Petersen being noted absent .
<br /> Councilman. Arnett moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO , 5923 GRANTING EXCEPTION TO CERTAIN PRO-
<br /> VISIONS OF CHAPTER 30 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, BEING THE SUBDIVISION
<br /> REGULATIONS OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY - JOHN J , AND EVA MAHOLY , seconded by
<br /> Councilman Rosselli .
<br /> Planning Commission at their meeting of February 5 , 1969 , recommended that the
<br /> Council approve the subdivision of this one vacant parcel ( 1409 Lenolt Street ) of
<br /> 10 , 000 sq . ft . into two parcels of 5 , 000 sq . ft . each . Motion carried on roll call
<br /> vote , Councilman Petersen being noted absent .
<br /> Councilman Weymouth moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO . 5924 APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECU-
<br /> TION OF AGREEMENT WITH STATE OF CALIFORNIA , RELATING TO SAFETY LIGHTING INSTALLA-
<br /> TIONS AT INTERSECTIONS OF WOODSIDE ROAD ( STATE HIGHWAY 114 ) WITH DESIGNATED CITY
<br /> STREETS , seconded by Councilman Arnett . Staff report stated agreement provides
<br /> that State will prepare plans and specifications for the installation of safety
<br /> lighting at the intersections of Woodside Road with Sequoia , Orchard , Gordon ,
<br /> and Hess Road .
