294 <br /> Councilman Weymouth moved to approve Councilman Henderson ' s request to attend meeting in <br /> Sacramento on April 7 for League Committee on Community Development and Beautification , <br /> including expense advance if requested , seconded by Councilman Petersen and carried <br /> ( MINUTE ORDER #69 - 55 ) <br /> Councilman Rosselli requested Staff report on development of property originally proposed <br /> at Broadway and Woodside Road for restaurant , service station and motel , as he had <br /> noticed a realtor ' s sign indicating a portion of property for sale for industrial <br /> site ( Memo 3/25/69 ) <br /> Councilman Rosselli also requested a progress report on the Downtown Plan from either <br /> Staff or the Committee ( Memo 3/25/69 ) <br /> Councilman Henderson nominated Jack Stuart for reappointment to the Park and Recreation <br /> Commission , as he was eligible for a second term . <br /> Mayor Bury requested that a report be made to Council concerning Friendly Acres Water <br /> System, inasmuch as he had received several inquiries . Louis Scherer , Planning Director <br /> Ken Schroeter , Auditor -Accountant Jack Ference , Park Superintendent Pasco Balzarini , <br /> and Deputy Clerk Marian McCrindle . <br /> Councilman Arnett moved to approve Minutes of March 24 , 1969 , as mailed , seconded <br /> by Councilman Keckley and carried . <br /> City Manager introduced Donald F . Haines and Zaven Tatarian , the Architects selected for <br /> the advance planning of the Civic Center Complex area . He reported meetings had <br /> already commenced with Staff and members of this firm on the intitial stages of the <br /> planning . Mr . Haines , on behalf of their firm , expressed sincere appreciation for <br /> having been selected to design the City ' s Civic Center Complex and assured Council <br /> of their intent to keep them well informed during each stage of the development . <br /> Redwood Shores Progress Report . <br /> City Manager advised Mr . Charles Blair , Vice President of DMJM , and Mr . Willis <br /> Caryl , Field Engineer , of DMJM , would present this monthly report on progress in <br /> Redwood Shores . <br /> Mr . Blair described each of the numerous aerial photo slides <br /> showing the current construction status of the Redwood Shores <br /> project , depicting in particular the homes under construction <br /> in the various subdivisions . <br /> He also referred to the model on display of the proposed bridge <br /> to cross the interior waterway , describing the 22 ' clearance to <br /> 12R 7 '69 <br />
