( Memo 4/8/69 ) Motion carried on roll call vote , <br /> Councilman Weymouth being noted absent . <br /> Councilman Keckley moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO , 5951 ESTABLISHING ROUTES OF TRAVEL, <br /> HOURS OF OPERATION AND RATES OF CHARGE FOR THE MUNICIPAL TRANSIT SYSTEM; AND <br /> REPEALING RESOLUTIONS NUMBERS 5904 AND 5934 , Seconded by Councilman Arnett . <br /> Transportation Committee submitted report previously for Council ' s review , re - <br /> commending shortening Woodside Road route in the Central -Carlos-Cypress area <br /> and in vicinity of Massachusetts Avenue , in order to better adhere to the es - <br /> tablished time schedule for the Woodside Road route . Motion carried on roll <br /> call vote , Councilman Weymouth being noted absent . <br /> Councilman Arnett moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO . 5952 RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO , 5801 <br /> RELATING TO AGREEMENT FOR OPERATION OF POLICE PATROL BOAT BY U .S . COAST GUARD <br /> AUXILIARY , seconded by Councilman Keckley . <br /> Staff reported this proposed agreement had not been approved by the Coast Guard <br /> and , therefore , it was recommended that the Resolution be cancelled . Motion <br /> carried on roll call vote , Councilman Weymouth being noted absent . <br /> Report of Legislative Committee <br /> Councilman Henderson , Chairman , advised of the two reports which had been sub- <br /> mitted to Council relating to the legislation which had been referred to the Com- <br /> mittee by Council and Department Heads , and the recommendations as made on each <br /> as follows : <br /> A .B . 156 re obtaining work -men ' s compensation insurance from other than the State <br /> Compensation Insurance Fund . Recommended for endorsement by Council . <br /> A .B . 374 proposing to reduce minimum retirement age of police and firemen to <br /> age 50 at 2% of final compensation per year of service without regard to length <br /> of service . . . <br /> Recommendation to oppose and Staff be requested to provide a rough estimate of <br /> tax impact which would result from the enactment of such a bill and that such <br /> information together with Council ' s position be forwarded to the cognizant leg- <br /> islators . <br /> A .B . 138 , A .B . 327 , and A .B . 214 ( requested for review by Chief Building Official ) <br /> relating to certification by State of electrical inspectors ; relating to demoli - <br /> tion procedures in that displaced persons be assured of comparable relocation <br /> facilities ; relating to fire and life safety inspection of certain structures now <br /> inspected by local agencies . Recommended for opposition by Council . <br /> A .B . 240 relating to prohibiting local business license taxes on for-hire carriers <br /> unless carrier maintains a place of business within the City . Recommended for <br /> opposition by Council . <br /> B . B . 4 relating to defining of limits of State preemption . Recommended for <br /> opposition by Council .
