( copy submitted to Council ) <br /> Mayor Bury advised of the invitation for Council members to participate in a <br /> "Helicopter Conference " in San Jose , on April 9th , and suggested that some <br /> member attend . <br /> Councilman Arnett nominated Larry Schenck as a nominee to the vacancy on the <br /> Park and Recreation Commission and asked that biographical data which had been <br /> distributed sometime ago , be again presented to Council . <br /> Councilman Keckley nominated Bill Smith as an additional nominee to the vacancy <br /> on Park and Recreation Commission and that his former biographical resume be <br /> resubmitted to Council . <br /> Mayor Bury commended all City safety workers for their emergency control duties <br /> in past few days and expresed appreciation of whole of community in their efforts <br /> for a maximum use of Staff and equipment . <br /> Mayor Bury ordered Council adjourn to Executive Session as requested by the City <br /> Manager for discussion of personnel and current litigation . Meeting adjourned <br /> at 9 : 15 P . M . <br /> Regular meeting reconvened at 9 : 55 P . M . Councilman Petersen moved to grant <br /> permission for the City Manager and Assistant City Manager to go to Southern Cali - <br /> fornia on an investigative trip with expenses advanced , seconded by Councilman <br /> Arnett and carried . ( MINUTE ORDER #69 - 60 ) . <br />
