Munier , Mt . Carmel Catholic Church . ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present : Councilmen Dixon Arnett , Mary W . Hen - derson , Paul C . Keckley , Herbert G . Petersen , Mayor Robert H . Bury , and City Clerk Helen C . Moore . Councilmen John S . Rosselli and Ray A . Weymouth were noted absent ( Mayor Bury reported both had notified him of their inability to attend this meeting ) . Also noted present were City Manager Howard C . Ullrich , City Attorney David E . Schricker, Assistant City Manager Henry V . Burget , Act - ing Deputy Police Chief Joel Mansfield , Fire Chief J . L . Lodi , Director of Public Works J . Louis Scherer , Auditor -Accountant Jack Ference , Chief Building Official Charles Gyselbrecht , and Deputy City Clerk Marian McCrindle . Councilman Arnett moved to approve Minutes of Regular Meeting of April 7 , 1969 , as mailed , seconded by Councilman Keckley and carried . Mayor Bury advised that absent Council members had indicated their desire that con - sideration of appointments to the Park and Recreation Commission be continued for one week in order they might participate . Councilman Henderson moved to continue consideration of appointments to the Park and Recreation Commission for one week , and that William H . Smith be withdrawn as a nominee , as requested by the Nominator , seconded by Councilman Keckley and carried ( MINUTE ORDER #69 - 61 ) . Progress Report - CATV City Manager advised Mr . William Sinkunas , General Manager of the Peninsula Cable Television Corporation , would present report on their installation progress for this service . Mr . Sinkunas advised of the maps which he had submitted this evening to Staff and available for Council ' s inspection , in - dicating the route of the some 623 installations which have been made . He advised they had beenpromised 400 pole clear- ances per month from now on , which will enable them to attach their lines more rapidly . He stated present subscriber count did not , however , reveal the number of man -hours which had been expended installing their lines in Redwood Shores alone , even though no dwellings completed as yet . In reply to questions , he advised present subscriber count of 623 would probably be estimated as 10% of total potential , and that majority of subscribers at present were receiving the service on a thirty day free trial period . He reviewed routing of the present installations and their intent to work up through the Farm Hill area as soon as pole clearance permits , but as - sured Council there would be no problem in meeting the deadline required by their franchise , as they hoped to be able to complete installation within another three months if no serious delays in pole clearance encountered . Mayor Bury thanked Mr . Sinkunas for his report and urged them to continue working toward an early completion date for thissarvice . Continued PUBLIC HEARING , Bel Air Way Improvement District . Council reminded that the bids received for the construction of these proposed improvements were checked by APR 14 '69
