WHEREAS , this Council duly met and convened at said time and place for the purpose of hearing and passing upon all protests to said proposed annexation, and also at the time ( s ) and place ( s ) to which such hearing was continued , and did at the hearing in open public session ask for protests , if any , to the proposed annexa- tion and gave all persons full opportunity to protest said annexa- tion and received evidence relevant to such annexation ; and UHEREAS , this Council at the time of said hearing found and determined that protests to the proposed annexation of the herein- after described territory to the City of Redwood City had not been made by owners of one -half of the value of said territory as shown by the last equalized assessment roll of the County of San Mateo , California , nor by public owners equal to one -half of the value of public property within said territory as said value has been deter- mined by said Council ; NOW , THEREFORE , the Council of the City of Redwood City does hereby approve the annexation to the City of Redwood City of all the territory designated as "Leslie Annexation No . 1-A " and hereinafter described , and does also hereby ordain that said ter- ritory be and is hereby annexed to the City of Redwood City . The above mentioned territory which is designated as "Leslie Annexation No . 1-A " is all that territory situate in the County of San Mateo , State of California , described as follows :
