<br /> to be published the election notice as required by law, were on motion of Councilman
<br /> Eva, seconded by Councilman Christensen, and carried, received and filed.
<br /> DECLARING CANVASS. OF RETURNS-, AND RESULT OF SPECIAL
<br /> MUNICIPAL BOND ELECTION HELD JUNE 11 , 1936
<br /> WHEREAS , the Council of the City of Redwood City by Ordinance No. 375 duly
<br /> called and ordered held in said City of Redwood City an election on the 11th day of
<br /> June , 1936 , for the purpose of submitting to the qualified voters and electors
<br /> thereof the following proposition , to-wit :
<br /> PROPOSITION: : Shall the City of Redwood. City incur, a bonded. .
<br /> indebtedness in the principal. sum of. $266,000
<br /> in accordance with the provisions of the ordinance. nailing

<br /> AND WHEREAS , said ordinance calling and ordering said election was duly
<br /> published as required by law and by said ordinance , as appears from the affidavit
<br /> of Vera Clements of Redwood. Tribune on file in the office of the City Clerk of said
<br /> City of Redwood City; and
<br /> WHLBFAS , it appears that said special election was held in accordance with
<br /> law and with said call , on the said. 11th day of June , 1936 , as aforesaid , and that
<br /> the polls for said election were kept open during the time required by law, and that
<br /> said election was held and conducted , and the votes thereat received and canvassed ,
<br /> and the returns thereof ascertained , determined and declared , all as provided by the
<br /> laws of the State of California, and by said ordinance; and
<br /> WHEREAS , on this day, to-wit , Monday, the 15th day of June , 1936 , at the
<br /> hour of eight o ' clock P.M. , the Council of said City of Redwood City met at its usual
<br /> place of meeting and has canvassed the returns of said special election as required
