J. Dusel , H. A. Beeger, <br /> C . J . Hildebrant , R . N. Jones , C . G. Lambert , Paul A. McCarthy , Geo . W . McNulty. City <br /> Clerk, B . E. Myers . Absent : None . <br /> The minutes of the meeting of March 5 were approved on motion of Councilman Lambert , seconded <br /> by Councilman McNulty. <br /> L . A. Heiner appeared before the Council to ask permission to have constructed on his property <br /> on the southwest corner of Jefferson Avenue and El Camino Real a service station. Permit <br /> was granted on motion of Councilman Hildebrant , seconded by Councilman McNulty , provided <br /> that the final plans when worked out be subject to approval of certain members of the <br /> Council together with the Building Inspector. <br /> D . A. Dixon of the Standard Stations , Inc . requested permission to build a service station at <br /> the southwest corner of the Bayshore Highway and Main Street . Permit was granted on <br /> motion of Councilman Beeger , seconded by Councilman Hildebrant , with the understanding <br /> that connection would be made to a sewer when available within a reasonable distance . <br /> D. L. Walter presented revised plans for the service station he wishes to erect at the corner <br /> of L,iddlefield Road and Chestnut Street . Mr . Walter was informed that no permission <br /> could be given for the construction of a service station at that point until thirty days <br /> after the passage of the ordinance rezoning the property. <br /> The Redwood City Hardware Company , in a letter signed by W . E . Ayer , requested permission to <br /> erect a sign which was six inches larger than usually permitted under the ordinance , but <br /> in view of all the circumstances he was given permission to put up the sign described and <br /> the Building Inspector was so instructed, this on motion of Councilman McNulty , seconded <br />
