G. Lambert , L. C. Christensen, <br /> J. M. Eva, E. A. Fletcher, R. N. Jones , Geo . N . McNulty. City Clerk, B. E. Myers . <br /> Absent : Paul A. McCarthy. <br /> The minutes of the meeting of June 15 and the adjourned meeting of June 20 were approved on <br /> motion of Councilman Christensen, seconded. by Councilman McNulty. <br /> The matter of appointing someone to succeed Carl K. Mabie as a member of the Board for the <br /> ?algae Mosquito Abatement District was referred to Mayor Lambert. <br /> A letter was read from the Order of Moose asking city cooperation in the proposal to ask the <br /> California State Moose Association to hold its next annual event in Redwood City. Re- <br /> ferred to the City Manager. <br /> The Southern California League of Municipalities addressed a letter to the Council concerning <br /> a petition which would change the allocation of gas tax funds . The letter was referred <br /> to the City Manager. <br /> The City Attorney also filed with the Clerk a written report for the committee on tax delin- <br /> quency penalty consisting of the City Manager, City Collector and City Attorney in which <br /> he cited the custom now in operation in various communities . He made an oral recommendation <br /> that the penalty be as follows : 10% for the first installment and 5% and 5% for the first <br /> and second installments after April 20 , with a charge of 1% a month beginning in July , <br /> plus advertising costs .
