B.B. - Page 11 portation Plan: Scope of Work
October 2016
Deliverables:Materials and attendance at up to three pop up events. Optional development
of outreach display board.
Focus Groups
Fehr& Peers will prepare for and lead up to five (5) stakeholder or focus group meetings with key
persons or groups. These may include major employers, other agencies (i.e., Caltrans, SamTrans),
residents along key corridors, church groups, school groups, senior advocates, and/or disability
group advocates. These groups will be targeted to include those not well-represented at other
events/on-line forums and those directly affected by potential Plan recommendations. We will document the focus group findings and respond to one set of
consolidated comments.
Deliverables: Preparation for, attendance at, and draft and final summaries of up to five (5)
meetings or focus groups.
Walking Audits
During project development, Fehr& Peers will one (1) day of walking audits at key locations in the
City where pedestrian and/or bicycle enhancements are proposed. Key stakeholders will be
invited to join some or all of the audits to provide context and feasibility input. Where possible,
the audits will be timed to observe the locations during the peak time of safety or mobility concern
(such as school drop-off periods). We will document our findings with a technical memorandum
that includes maps illustrating our recommendations and respond to one set of consolidated
comments.
Deliverables:Draft and final walking audit route maps. Attendance at up one day of walking
audits. Draft and final summary of findings.
Public Workshops
We will host two (2) Citywide public outreach workshops when the draft Plan has been assembled
and project and policy recommendations are ready for input. The conceptual agenda for the
workshop will include visually rich exhibits with local images, interactive exercises to investigate
preferences and obtain feedback, and opportunities for education and information sharing.
