This information will be
used to help draw comparisons to other jurisdictions within the Bay Area to help frame Redwood
City's transportation demands in the larger context of the Bay Area. We will utilize infographics to
help summarize existing conditions and provide an opportunity to effectively communicate the
City's transportation needs to the public.
Task C.1: Policies and Programs
Many past and ongoing studies have dealt with transportation conditions within the City and
developed recommendations for improving mobility and accessibility. The Fehr & Peers team will
review these studies, which will form the basis upon which to begin the more focused planning
effort that will comprise the Citywide Transportation Plan. Prior and on-going reports and studies
to be reviewed will include the following:
Prior Reports and Studies:
- Redwood City General Plan (2010)
- Downtown Precise Plan (2011)
- North Main Street Precise Plan (2008)
- Kaiser Medical Medical Center Precise Plan (2003)
- Marina Shores Village Precise Plan (2004)
- Peninsula Park Precise Plan (2008)
- Sequoia Hospital Precise Plan (2007)
- Stanford in Redwood City Precise Plan (2013)
- Climate Action Plan (2013)
Ongoing Projects:
- El Camino Real Corridor Plan
- Downtown Transit Center and Broadway Streetcar/Urban Circulator Study
- Inner Harbor Specific Plan
- Bicycle Metrics Study
- California High-Speed Rail Environmental Analysis
