The Notice of Award of Contract is anticipated to be issued on or about May 27, 2016, witl 81.D. - Page 8 <br /> contract extending through June 30, 2019 in accordance with Education Code 17596. The nrst <br /> purchase order issued by the District for gasoline and diesel deliveries in accordance with this bid will <br /> be closed out on June 30, 2016 and a new Purchase Order will be issued each year on July 1st <br /> (following our fiscal years). <br /> PRICE <br /> All prices shall include delivery and dispensing of fuel to destination. Bids quoting other than delivery <br /> and dispensing of fuel as defined in this bid will be rejected. The District shall be entitled to standing <br /> time for the purpose of dispensing fuel at no charge (e.g.,the District will not incur any additional <br /> charge for the truck and driver's time while the Gasoline or Diesel are being delivered at the District <br /> site). <br /> All prices bid shall not include State and Local Sales or Use Tax. These will be included in the <br /> invoices as separate line items. The District is Federal Excise Tax exempt. <br /> Profit margin prices that are bid shall be firm for the contract period. The District understands that the <br /> actual delivered prices may fluctuate up or down based on the current price posted by the "Oil Pricing <br /> Information Service (OPIS)" at the time of the order(s). <br /> The price posted by the "Oil Pricing Information Service (OPIS)" for the San Jose area(E), <br /> market base which includes: Sonoma,Napa, Solano, Marin, Contra Costa, Alameda, Santa <br /> Clara, San Mateo, and Santa Cruz shall be established as the base price. Bidder shall bid a <br /> guaranteed profit margin that shall not change during that contract period. Delivered prices <br /> will be based on OPIS "Daily Average" (unbranded). <br /> Due to the daily fluctuations of prices,the amount per gallon may be changed by notifying the PAUSD <br /> Purchasing Technician,by FAX (650) 329-3803 or in writing to THE PALO ALTO UNIFIED <br /> SCHOOL DISTRICT, Purchasing Department, 25 Churchill Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94306,prior to the <br /> effective date of the change. This change shall be based on the increase or decrease in wholesale <br /> prices only. <br /> • <br /> It is the intent of the Palo Alto Unified School District that other School Districts in the San Jose area <br /> (E), market base which includes: Sonoma,Napa, Solano, Marin, Contra Costa, Alameda, Santa Clara, <br /> San Mateo, and Santa Cruz,pursuant to Public Contract Code Sections 20118 and 20652 may utilize <br /> the provisions of this bid pursuant to the specifications set forth herein for the three-year term.
