PRCS Target Schools — 2016-17 # K-5 Students <br /> Adelante .506 <br /> Garfield 442 <br /> Hawes 399 <br /> Henry Ford 421 <br /> Selby Lane 448 <br /> Objective 2 - Staff Recruitment and Retention: CITY will retain a PE Coordinator to manage CITY's part of <br /> the PE+ program. CITY will recruit for its program a team of PE coaches and conduct all hiring processes <br /> of staff including background and safety checks, as further described herein. CITY will retain proper <br /> numbers and levels of qualified staff to implement the program. <br /> Objective 3 - Staff Training: PROS will adequately train and prepare all staff coaches employed by CITY to <br /> deliver a PE program that strives to meet California State requirements and reinforces the joy of being <br /> active and healthy. PRCS will design, provide, and evaluate a year-round training program consisting of in- <br /> person training sessions and planning meetings that improves job-related skill development and <br /> competencies of coaches in the following areas: community and leadership development, teaching <br /> methods, program class curriculum, classroom management, and recess/lunch support expectations. <br /> PRCS coaching staff will be trained under the umbrella of the uPhysical Education Team." Coaches may <br /> be pulled from recess support if necessary to attend training one hour per week. <br /> Objective 4 - PE+ Curriculum: PROS will implement and assist in developing a comprehensive, planned, <br /> sequential PE+ curriculum designed to: <br /> 1 . meet a majority of California State Physical Education standards <br /> 2, meet physical, social, emotional, and learning needs of the students and provides students <br /> with the knowledge, attitudes, motor skills, behavioral skills, and confidence to participate in <br /> physical activity <br /> 3. cover nutrition, health, and social-emotional well-being topics in order to help students <br /> establish active, healthy lifestyles that continue into and throughout their adult lives <br /> 4. allows students to participate in a variety of sports, games, and activities <br /> 5. ensure a physical and social environment that enables safe and enjoyable participation in <br /> physical activity <br /> 6. uses evaluation information to update and improve the curriculum <br /> Objective 5 - Program Evaluation: All partners from PCC, PRCS, RCSD, and SHD will work together to <br /> develop and implement an evaluation plan that measures quality and impact. Partners will determine the <br /> desired outcomes of the program, adequately and continuously evaluate the program using quantitative <br /> and qualitative assessment tools such as fitness assessments and surveys, implement appropriate data <br /> collection and entry, use the information to improve and modify the program, ensure that positive changes <br /> and outcomes are sustained, and share the information with stakeholders in the following areas: <br /> • student physical fitness, social-emotional factors, nutrition measures, and satisfaction with PE+ <br /> • teacher/school official observations of student outcomes and satisfaction with PE+ <br /> Page 3 of 8 <br /> REV: 09-28-16 RL <br /> ATTYIAGR.2016.084/Sequoia Healthcare District <br />
