<br />Matt Pietro, appellant, 644 Portofino Lane, Foster City described other new <br />new buildings in Redwood City and their stucco composition, and added that <br />he could not tell from the original drawings that the completed building <br />would be so massive and garage-like. <br /> <br />Mike Pietro, owner of 510 Veterans Boulevard property, advised that no other <br />building in Redwood City is all brick; that permits have been issued to <br />other stucco buildings; and, brick columns and brick around the windows <br />would be maintained. <br /> <br />Mayor La Berge asked if anyone else wished to speak. <br />speak. <br /> <br />M/S: Greenalch/Stangel to close the public hearing. <br />Carried by unanimous voice vote and hearing closed at 8:03 p.m. <br /> <br />No one else wished to <br /> <br />Council Members discussed original plans approval; need for architectural <br />features; incongruity of brick and cement as it is obvious it is a brick <br />veneer; loss of original roof as architectural feature; and need for <br />permit agreements to be kept.
