FY 2002~2003 <br /> FUNDING RECOMMENDATIONS BY PRIORITY <br /> <br /> PRIORITY # 1: Promote ;iffordable housing for all populations by increasing the <br /> number of affordable, accessible;-decent safe & sanitary, and ownership units for <br /> Iow and moderate-income households. <br /> <br />$151,400 CDBG General Administration <br />City of Redwood City. These funds will be used for staff wages and overhead costs. <br /> <br />$44,200 HOME HOME Administration <br />City of Redwood City - Staff costs related to administering HOME funded activities. <br /> <br />$30,000 CDBG Housing Accessibility Modification Program <br />Center for the Independence of the Disabled, 875 O'Neill Avenue, Belmont. These funds <br />will be used to provide citywide accessibility improvements to residences occupied by <br />homeowners and renters who are physically challenged, are elderly and fragile, or are non- <br />elderly but have disabilities. <br /> <br />$332,800 CDBG Home Improvement Loan Program Support <br />City of Redwood City - These funds will pay program support costs for the operation and <br />to make loans in the Home Improvement Loan Programs and Housing Counseling <br />Programs. Eligible costs are limited to loans, staff, supplies and support costs directly <br />related to carrying out citywide loan programs. <br /> <br />$66,300 HOME HOME CHDO Setaside <br />These funds are reserved for use by a Community Housing Development Organization <br />(CHDO). <br /> <br />$331,6004 HOME L.and ban king <br />These funds will be allocated for acquisition of a site for affordable housing. <br /> <br />$30,000 CDBG Housing Revitalization Program <br />North Peninsula Neighborhood Services, 600 Linden Avenue, South San Francisco. This <br />is a citywide program and funds will be used to make free minor home repairs and <br />weatherization improvements to single family owner occupied dwellings. <br /> <br />4 There were no proposals submitted for HOME funding. The Housing & Human Concerns Committee has <br />recommended that these funds be earmarked for acquisition of a site for affordable housing. Council will be asked to <br />approve allocation of these funds when a specific project is identified. <br /> <br /> <br />
