It is assumed that activities under Task F.2 will be
funded through the C/CAG TDM grant.
Task El Citywide Transportation Demand Management Strategy
The C/CAG TDM grant will be responsible for developing a Transportation Demand
Management (TDM) strategy that can be used by the City, which may include goals and
measures of effectiveness (MOEs) for a Citywide TDM program as well as rough cost
and benefit levels for each of the potential measures. The purpose of this task will be to
list key elements from the C/CAG effort that are the most appropriate to consider at a
Citywide level . This list of strategies will be incorporated into the Citywide
Transportation Plan .
Deliverable: Draft Citywide TDM strategy list to be incorporated into overall
Citywide Transportation Plan document
Task F.2 Transportation Management Association (TMA) Formation (Funded through C/CAG)
This task is assumed to be funded under the C/CAG grant program . The purpose of
this task is to identify needs and actions required for the City to develop a TMA focused
on downtown , and potentially surrounding areas. For the TMA formation specifically, our
project team will identify area-specific and citywide programs that a TMA can promote,
administer and manage. This will include first/last mile strategies; advocacy; marketing ;
ways to work with regional partners (i.e. , transit agencies, other cities, other TMA's) and
other activities. These will build on the outcomes of the community engagement process
and how to increase use of all the alternative modes of transportation by Redwood
City's residents, workers and visitors. It will consider TMA districts within the City and
their respective needs; policies/ordinances needed to support a TMA; goals and discuss
potential barriers and solutions.
A TMA implementation strategy will be developed and will discuss what it takes to
establish and manage a TMA: outlining the process and a recommended `scope' for a
Redwood City TMA both for the near-term and longer term .
ATTY/AGR/2016.308/FEHR & PEERS CITYWIDE TRANSPORTATION PLAN
REV: 11-03-16 VR
