This cost estimate will include cost of labor, materials and other construction
costs.
Task 4.4 - Submit Preliminary Retrofit Design to City for Customer Review
A preliminary design submittal will be prepared for each detailed reconnaissance Site.
The submittal will contain a preliminary site plan, preliminary retrofit design drawings, a
preliminary estimate of probable cost, recycled water demand projection, and a
preliminary construction schedule. Two (2) copies copy will be submitted to the City:
one copy for the City's reference file and one copy to be delivered to the Customer for
review. This is considered the preliminary design submittal. It is anticipated that no
significant comments will be received from the customer after submittal of the
preliminary design and no revision or resubmittal of the preliminary design will be
required.
Task 5 - Final Retrofit Design
The engineering labor effort for Final Retrofit Design is estimated to be 41 hours per
customer site.
Task 5.1 - Final Design Drawings
Detailed AutoCAD design drawings will be developed from digitization of existing site
maps, record drawings or aerial photos. The on-site retrofit will indicate the location for
capping of potable lines, new connections to the recycled water systems, necessary
provisions for cross connection control, backflow prevention and separation, location of
signage to comply with State and County Health Departments and construction details.
The limits of work shall include the Customer recycled water meter and box and
continue throughout the irrigation or industrial system as necessary for a complete
retrofit.
