• Scheduled Interruptions
SBSA will schedule maintenance-related interruptions to take place during the
low-demand months (November through March)whenever possible. SBSA will
notify City at least 10 days in advance of any planned interruption, providing
information about the reason for the interruption and the dates the interruption is
scheduled to begin and end. SBSA will accommodate to the maximum extent
feasible requests by City to postpone or reschedule the interruption. SBSA will
make all reasonable efforts to limit both the frequency and duration of planned
interruptions in supply. SBSA will provide City periodic reports during the
planned interruption on the progress of the repairs or upgrades to facilities that
necessitated the interruption.
• Emergency Interruptions
SBSA will make all reasonable efforts to avoid emergency, unscheduled
interruptions in supply and to restore promptly its ability to deliver Recycled
Water if and when such interruptions occur. In the event an emergency requires
an immediate interruption in the supply of Recycled Water, SBSA will promptly
(within two (2) hours) notify City of the interruption. Within five (5) days
following the emergency interruption, SBSA shall notify City of the apparent
cause of the interruption, what steps are being taken to fix the problem and restore
deliveries, and the expected duration of the interruption. Within thirty(30) days
of the emergency interruption, SBSA will provide City with a report on the cause
of the interruption and measures being taken by SBSA to prevent recurrences of
interruptions from such cause.
-15- 1091374.7
1
