B. Georgette Benn, 35579 Morley Place, Fremont, representing her mother as
owner of the properties at 603-611 Jefferson Avenue, advised Council that
the County was in the process of taking this property through eminent
domain procedures, and that her mother, who has owned the property for
thirty-nine years did not want to lose it. Mrs. Benn advised the
properties were currently leased and providing tax dollars to the City of
Redwood City.

Council Members voiced their frustration that, again, the County was
taking tax-producing Redwood City property without notifying the City of
their actions. Councilman Bury advised he would address the Board of
Supervisors at their regular meeting on October 8th and request the County
meet with the City to discuss this matter.

MEMO 10/8/91

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

C.
