711 <br />City Manager also reported Salary Review already being prepared for presentation <br />to Council earlier than presented last year. <br />Councilman Granger questioned communication addressed to Park Superintendent from <br />Richard Weiskal concerning proposed cinnabar operations. City Manager stated <br />agreement provided that Mr. Weiskal work with Park Superintendent concerning use of <br />City equipment for preliminary work, and communication had merely been submitted for <br />Council's information. Councilman Granger asked that he be furnished with record <br />of Council voting during cinnabar operation discussions and action. <br />Councilman Henderson questioned amount of money City paid for property being requested <br />for removal from County Tax Rolls. City Attorney advised not able to give exact <br />figures at this time but would present same. (Memo 6/21/66) He did state two more <br />additional parcels were to be added and property covered Industrial Way acquisitions <br />clear through to the County Government Center. <br />City Attorney also advised Ordinance prepared for amending Sales Tax Capital Outlay <br />Fund Ordinance had not been prepared to provide a means by which the Parking Dis- <br />trict's surplus property could be purchased through lease -purchase as had been <br />stated, but simply to clarify use of sales tax funds for major purposes such as <br />building sites, etc., and that as City already held title to property in Parking <br />District, property would be obtained on an annual increment basis but would accrue <br />to Parking District. <br />City Manager advised Council this property in question had once been up for bid, <br />and no bids had been received, and since then property had risen in value; that <br />it was his understanding from meetings held with Real Estate Committee and Parking <br />District Committee property would be acquired by City from Parking District by <br />payments over a period of several years. <br />Councilman Bury questioned scope of the audit proposed for records of DMJM, and was <br />advised by City Manager scope provided for in agreement between City and DMJM and <br />covered largely payroll and incidental expenses, and felt particularly needed <br />because of the two offices being involved, here and in Los Angeles. <br />Mayor Herkner reminded Council of presentation City would have before the California <br />Highway Commission on Wednesday, June 22nd, in Sacramento, to request Woodside <br />Road widening, and stated all Council members invited to attend. Councilman Rosselli <br />stated Staff had prepared an outstanding presentation for use in making this request. <br />Minutes of Regular Meeting <br />Redwood City Council <br />June 20, 1966 8:00 P. Lodi, Planning <br />Director Ken Schroeter, Zoning Coordinator William Shackelford, City Engineer Glenn <br />M. Jain, Recreation Director A. S. Morton, Auditor -Accountant Jack Ference, Water <br />Superintendent Warren Mitchell, Building Inspector S. H. Kreiss, and Dgputy City <br />Clerk Marian McCrindle. <br />
