1,16 <br />advised a resolution calling for bids for purchase of seismic recorders would be <br />before the Council on Agenda of June 20th. (Memo 6/14/66) <br />Mr. Reiter reported dewatering season at an end and program had been closed down, <br />to be reactivated again next year. It was reported Primary Fill II had been com- <br />pleted by Miled & Sons to 81% of original estimate of 1,000,000 cu. yds. because of <br />fact fill material had run out, but that about 760,000 cu. yds, of fill had been <br />installed. He reported two other site preparations by Leslie Properties under way, <br />one 31% completed and other 2%. <br />In summary, he reported approximately 180 acres have been site prepared, some 70 <br />acres of which have received prime fill (21), 60 acres prime filled without sur- <br />charge, and anticipate by end of current 166 construction program to have site pre- <br />pared for some 600 acres. It is also anticipated that some 700,000 cu. yds. of <br />dredging on interior sloughs would be completed. <br />Councilman Granger questioned recent newspaper publicity concerning a proposed law <br />suit against Leslie Properties by some citizens concerning exchange of land between <br />Leslie and State Land Commission, and was advised this did not directly involve <br />the City or the District. <br />Councilman Henderson questioned whether seismic recorders proposed were the same <br />or similar to those recommended in the Seismic Report, and was advised the three <br />recorders proposed were as recommended in the Report. Councilman Henderson <br />questioned "demucking" program, and was advised of the processing procedures. <br />Councilman Henderson asked that she be furnished with accounting of expenditures <br />for Redwood Shores District, and was advised by Staff of cost and difficulty of <br />reproducing voluminous accounting records and suggestion made that she meet with <br />City Manager and Auditor -Accountant for a review of accounting of the District. <br />Councilman Bury stated that he feels Council has been fully informed on this matter, <br />all information being readily available. He further stated this is not a matter <br />requiring special handling, as each contract or agreement had Council approval in <br />advance. <br />City Manager advised he had contacted the firm of Uhlenberg Company concerning <br />an audit of DMJM's books, and would present proposal at Council meeting next week. <br />(Memo 6/14/66) <br />Councilman Granger questioned financing of this proposal and if Leslie Properties <br />were satisfied with accounting of funds spent for District. City Manager advised _ <br />Leslie Properties were refunded money they had advanced to City, and further advised <br />they were furnished with a balance sheet every thirty days showing funds expended. <br />Progress Report, GID Nos. 1-65, 2-65, 3-65.
