Minutes of Regular Monthly Study Meeting Redwood City Council July 11, 1966 7:30 P. M. Pledge of Allegiance led by Councilman Petersen. Invocation led by Reverend Ronald Barton, First Congregational Church. ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present: Councilmen Floyd D. Granger, Mary W. -� Henderson, Paul C. Keckley, Herbert G. Petersen, John S. Rosselli, Mayor Sidney D. Herkner, and City Clerk Helen C. Moore. Councilman Robert H. Bury noted absent. Councilman Granger moved that permanent records indicate Councilman Bury not pre- sent because of illness, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. Also noted present *%,ere City Manager Howard C. Ullrich, City Attorney Richard E. -1 Gardella, Assistant City Manager Henry V. Bur. -et, Police Chief William Faulstich, Fire Chief J. L. Lodi, City Engineer Glenn M. Jain, Planning Director Ken Schroeter, Zoning Administrator William Shackelford, Auditor -Accountant Jack Ference, Water Superintendent Warren Mitchell, Building Inspector S. H. Kreiss, and Deputy City Clerk Marian McCrindle. Councilman Keckley moved to approved Minutes of June 27, 1966, as mailed, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. Certificate of Appointment presented to Charles Randlett on his reappointment as Member of Planning Commission. CANVASS OF VOTES, Vista Drive Annexation, Election held July 5, 1966. Tally read by the City Clerk as follows: PROPOSITION SUBMITTED `"OTAL NUMBER NUDGER OF NUMBER OF VOTES OF VOTES CAST VOTES CAST CAST AGAINST SAID SHALL "VISTA DRIVE ANNEXA- INCLUDTNG IN FAVOR OF PROPOSITION TION" BE ANNEXED TO THE ABSENTEE PROPOSITION CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND BALLOTS THE PROPERTY IN SUCH TERRI- TORY BE, AFTER SUCH ANNEXA- 18 12 6 TION, SUBJECT TO TAXATION E25ALLY WITH THE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, TO PAY THE ENTIRE BONDED INDEBTEDNESS OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY OUT- STANDING OR AUTHORIZED AT THE DATE OF THE FIRST PUBLICATION OF THE NOTICE OF ELECTION, FOR THE AC- QUISITION, CONSTRUCTION OR COMPLE- TION OF MUNICIPAT IMPROVEMENTS`; Councilman Rosselli moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 5085 OF CANVASS OF SPECIAL ELECTION OF JULY 5, 1966, PERTAINING TO THE ANNEXATION OF "VISTA DRIVE ANNEXA- TION" TO THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, seconded by Councilman Henderson and carried on roll call vote, Councilman Bury being noted absent. Councilman Petersen moved to introduce Ordinance of the City of Redwood City approving the annexation to the City of Redwood City of certain inhabited territory i designated as "Vista Drive Annexation" seconded by Councilman Keckley and carried. Councilman Rosselli moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 5086 APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CONSULTING ENGINEERING AGREEMENT FOR FARM HILL BOULEVARD EXTENSION. Staff report stated this agreement between City and Frahm, Maykel & Edler concerns preparation of the plans and specifications for the extension of Farm dill Boulevard from the westerly terminus of Farm Hill Boulevard to the proposed Junipero Serra Freeway. Challenge Development Co. and San Mateo Junior College have engaged this
