243 <br />N. M. McKenzie, 3470 Michael Drive, protested lack of services <br />in general for Friendly Acres area. <br />City Manager advised the Resolution adopted intended to reject the present bids <br />and then readvertise because believes better bids can be had. Councilman Rosselli <br />stated survey favoring a Recreation Building for the area arrived too late and <br />committee had already made their recommendations for the pool. Councilman Henderson <br />said the space at Taft School was proven inadequate for a recreation building <br />after study. <br />Councilman Bury stated Friendly Acres recreation services had been of prime impor- <br />tance to the Council and solutions would be met. He also made suggestion that <br />- transportation be afforded to children from this area to swimming pool at <br />Community Park for this summer. <br />Application of William R. Barnett for exception to the Subdivision Ordinance to allow <br />two lots with less than a 50 -foot frontage on a street, and approval of subdivision <br />into four lots, a Portion of Lot 1, Block 17, Oak Knoll Manor, presented for con- <br />sideration. <br />Planning Commission report recommends approval, subject <br />to certain conditions. <br />Staff concurs in the Planning Commission recommendation. <br />Councilman Granger moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 5094 GRANTING EXCEPTION TO PRO- <br />VISIONS OF CHAPTER 30 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, BEING THE SUBDIVISION <br />REGULATIONS OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AND APPROVING A SUBDIVISION THEREUNDER - <br />WILLIAM R. BARNETT, seconded by Councilman Keckley and carried on roll call vote. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved to introduce Ordinance amending Section 25.35 of Chapter 25 <br />of the Code of the City of Redwood City, relating to buoys, markers, and obstruc- <br />tions in the Redwood City Marine Harbor, seconded by Councilman Keckley and carried. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved to: <br />(a) Accept Bay Road Area Storm Drainage System, SD I, Project <br />Unit I <br />(b) Bay Road Storm Drain System, Unit 2, Broadway Pumping Station, <br />seconded by Councilman Keckley and carried. (MINUTE ORDER #66-165A & 165B) <br />Councilman Keckley moved to introduce Ordinance amending Section 27.61 of the Code of <br />the City of Redwood City, relating to sewer connection fees, seconded by Councilman <br />Rosselli and carried. <br />Councilman Granger moved to grant extension of time to September 15, 1966, as requested <br />by Coast Electric Co. for completion of work on the Tennis Court Lighting Project, <br />-- as recommended by Staff, seconded by Councilman Petersen and carried. (MINUTE ORDER <br />#66-166) <br />Councilman KBckley moved to adopt ORDINANCE NO. 1248 RELATING TO REDWOOD CITY GENERAL <br />IMPROVEMENT DISTRICTS AND (A) AMENDING SECTIONS 203, 204, AND 1307 OF ORDINANCE NO. <br />1128 AND ADDING SECTION 1310 TO ORDINANCE NO. 1128, TO PERMIT ASSESSMENT, EQUALIZA- <br />TION AND COLLECTION OF ASSESSMENTS, COLLECTION, PAYMENT AND ENFORCEMENT OF TAXES <br />INCLUDING DELINQUENT TAXES, AND REDEMPTION OF PROPERTY WITHIN DISTRICTS OR IMPROVE- <br />MENT DISTRICTS BY A DISTRICT OR IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT ASSESSOR, APPOINTED BY ORDINANCE; <br />TO PERMIT THE TRANSFER TO SUCH DISTRICT OF IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT ASSESSOR OF THE <br />FUNCTIONS HERETOFORE TRANSFERRED TO COUNTY OFFICERS BY ARTICLE II OF CHAPTER 32 OF <br />THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY; (B) ADDING SECTION 615 TO ORDINANCE NO. 1128 <br />TO PERMIT ADDITION OF POWERS TO THOSE FOR WHICH A DISTRICT WAS ORIGINALLY FORMED; <br />AND (C) AMENDING SECTION 1214 OF ORDINANCE N0. 1128 TO PROVIDE FOR CERTAIN OPTIONAL <br />REGISTRATION PROVISIONS FOR BONDS OF DISTRICTS, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and <br />carried on roll call vote, Councilman Henderson voting no. <br />
