245 <br />Councilman Rosselli moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 5096 cancelling certain WEED <br />ABATEMENT CHARGES FOR 1965 WEED ABATEMENT PROGRAM, seconded by Councilman Petersen <br />and carried on roll call vote. <br />CLAIMS of (1) Samuel R. Nelson, 1812 Middlefield Road, for sewer damages alleged to have <br />been caused by City tree; (2) Gordon Seely, 831 Canyon Road, for damages alleged <br />to have been caused by sewer back-up, were denied and referred to insurance carrier <br />on motion of Councilman Petersen, seconded by Councilman Granger and carried. <br />(MINUTE ORDER #66-167 & 167-B) <br />Councilman Keckley moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 5097 APPROVING SEQUOIA HOSPITAL DIS- <br />TRICT BONDS AND URGING THE ELECTORATE TO VOTE IN FAVOR OF SAID BONDS, seconded by <br />Councilman Rosselli and carried on roll call vote. <br />Councilman Henderson stated she thought it a good idea for members of Council to <br />get out and get people to start voting, and impress upon them the importance of <br />each and every vote. <br />CLAIMS: Nos. 57139 THROUGH 57366 and 57370 through 57388, totalling $300,458.16 were <br />approved on motion of Councilman Rosselli, seconded by Councilman Granger and carried. <br />COMMUNICATIONS: <br />Letter from Redwood City Employees Association inviting Council <br />to retirement dinner of Martha Brand, City Employee for over <br />20 years, July 30, 1966, 6:30 P. M. <br />Letter from Peninsula Celebration Association thanking Mayor <br />Herkner and Council members for participating in the July 4th <br />parade. <br />Councilman Granger made several suggestions concerning Chestnut Park. Council asked <br />that this be referred to City Manager for study. (Memo 7/19/66) <br />Councilman Rosselli requested a report on next week's Agenda regarding CATV, <br />and its status at the present time. (Memo 7/19/66) <br />Councilman Rosselli moved to adjourn to Executive Session, seconded by Councilman <br />Granger and carried. Meeting adjourned at 11:00 P.
