City Treasurer stated her agreement to <br />recommendation proposed for increased coverage and reviewed procedures now used <br />for cross checking on expenditures. Mayor Herkner expressed his concern at expense <br />of increased coverage proposed. <br />Auditor -Accountant reviewed survey made of the insurance market and quotes received, _ <br />with savings noted if coverage purchased for a three year period. He also reported <br />on the 15% refund of yearly premium on Treasurer's bond which would be available <br />after audit completed. <br />Councilman Petersen recommended cuotations from insurance companies in the future <br />be listed for Council's consideration by price figure only, not company, as he <br />felt a more equitable decision could be made on award. Councilman Keckley expressed <br />his opposition to this recommendation and explained his reasons. <br />Councilman Rosselli felt insurance matters should be reviewed by Council Insurance <br />Committee. Council advised there is no standing Council Committee on insurance, <br />but Council would be advised on future insurance matters in case Committee needed. <br />Councilman Granger requested personal information concerning his insurance and <br />retirement matters, Auditor -Accountant advising he would supply information <br />requested. (Memo 6/28/66) <br />Councilman Bury asked the proposal for relocating San Mateo County judicial courts be <br />placed on next Agenda for Council's possible action, and that City Attorney make <br />a recommendation.
