249 <br />Consideration of City Manager's Salary. Councilman Bury stated at the Executive Session <br />of July 18th there was a discussion on the City Manager's salary and moved that an <br />increase of the City Manager's Salary be $1,000.00 a year effective July 1, 1966, <br />seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. (MINUTE ORDER #66-170) <br />Various Councilmembers commended City Manager on his outstanding performance. <br />Ordinance introduced amending Section 43 of Ordinance No. 1232, The Salary Ordinance <br />of the City of Redwood City, pertaining to Salary for position of City Manager on <br />/,.i !,,/ <br />(,." <br />motion of Councilman Bury, seconded by Councilman Rosselli, (and carried ) 11 1 k/.. <br />Councilman Petersen moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 5099 AUTHORIZING SECOND CALL FOR BIDS <br />FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF HARBORMASTER RESIDENCE. <br />Councilman Petersen questioned Engineer's estimate. City Manager stated it is <br />$14,200. Councilman Granger asked if it is to be a permanent building and wanted <br />assurance it would not be moved from the proposed site in the next 10 years. <br />Councilman Bury, referring to Marina Committee recommendations submitted to Council, <br />stated it was the consensus of the Committee that the building would be permanent, <br />for the next 10 or 15 years anyway. He went on to say that amobile type trailer <br />was considered, but thought permanent building better idea. <br />Mayor Herkner suggested referring Marina report of July 25th to the Staff. Motion <br />by Councilman Granger to accept the report as a part of the permanent minutes; refer <br />to Staff for recommendation and report back to Council, seconded by Councilman <br />Rosselli and carried. (MINUTE ORDER #66-171) <br />Motion to adopt RESOLUTION seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried on roll call <br />vote, Councilman Keckley being noted absent. <br />Councilman Petersen moved to adopt RESOLUTION N0. 5100 APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS FOR NEW <br />AUTOMOBILE AND AUTHORIZING CITY CLERK TO CALL FOR BIDS THEREFOR. <br />The automobile to be replaced has been a "pool" car for all departments. It is five <br />years old and in the opinion of our chief mechanic, the vehicle is in extremely poor <br />operating condition. The replacement vehicle will be assigned to the Director of <br />Public Works. Purchase is to be made from Vehicle Replacement Fund. <br />City Manager stated this car has not performed well since City first purchased it and <br />recommended it be replaced. Motion seconded by Councilman Granger and carried on <br />roll call vote, Councilman Keckley being noted absent. <br />Councilman Bury moved to adopt ORDINANCE NO. 1257 AMENDING SECTION 25.35 OF CHAPTER 25, <br />of the code OF THE CITY OF RED1400D CITY, RELATING TO BUOYS, MARKERS, AND OBSTRUCTIONS <br />IN THE REDWOOD CITY MARINE HARBOR. <br />Councilman Petersen questioned wording of "Redwood City Marine Harbor." City Manager <br />answered that it means the same as Municipal Harbor but is designated in the City <br />Code as Marine Harbor. <br />Motion seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried on roll call vote, Councilman <br />Keckley being noted absent. <br />
