stated they would appear to present reasons for requesting consideration for <br />modification of sidewalks in this subdivision. <br />Inasmuch as appellants not present at this time, Councilmen Granger and Petersen <br />recommended item should be continued to 8:00 p.m. Mayor Herkner ordered this <br />item held until 8:00 P.M. <br />Request for continuance, notice to repair sidewalk issued to Benjamin M. and Helen <br />Picetti, c/o Regal Petroleum Company, 965 Stockton Avenue, San Jose, California, <br />granted for period of Thirty (30) days, from September 8th and expiring on <br />October 10, 1966, on motion of Councilman Granger, with request this be placed <br />on Council Agenda for report back at end of extended time. (Memo 9/13/66) <br />Councilman Granger also requested Company be notified they are to discontinue <br />using rear fence at these premises for advertising purposes. Councilman Bury <br />also requested Company be furnished with information regarding policies of <br />selling unrelated products in service stations. Councilman Bury also reported <br />from his personal inspection of this site he could confirm facts submitted by <br />applicant in that premises are undergoing a refurbishing with new pumps, and <br />sidewalks and driveways were to be repaved when new equipment installed. <br />Motion seconded by Councilman Bury and carried. (MINUTE ORDER #66-192) <br />Mayor Herkner introduced Glenn Meskimen, 27 Garden Street, of Redwood City Sea <br />Scouts, and asked that he be given permission to present a request they wished <br />considered by Council. Mr. Meskimen stated Sea Scouts were celebrating their _ <br />40th year since foundation and sponsorship by the Redwood City Kiwanis Club <br />and of their desire to become a more aesthetic part of the harbor, relocating <br />former Sequoia Yacht Club building to their site for complete renovation. <br />Mayor Herkner stated this request would be referred to both Staff and the <br />Marina Committee for investigation so a report and recommendation could be <br />made. Council also was advised it would <br />be necessary to appropriate funds for construction of a "pad" to cost $2,490, <br />making total appropriation necessary of $16,934. <br />
