Communication by Mrs. E. M. Barrentine, Secretary of Redwood City Civic <br />Association, to the San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Com- <br />mission, and copy to press, concerning public hearing held by them on <br />City's application re part of Redwood Shores development. <br />Councilman Granger moved that State Director of Public Works be thanked in con- <br />nection with acknowledgments made concerning Woodside Overpass, and that <br />Assemblyman Britschgi be thanked for accomplishments he had been able to do <br />so far, seconded by Councilman Bury and carried. (MINUTE ORDER #66-196) <br />Councilman Henderson remarked that the Park & Recreation Commission minutes show <br />Jasper Sipes, a Commission representative to the Marine Committee, had not <br />been invited to attend their last Committee meeting and she had been unaware <br />he was a part of this Committee. Councilman Bury, Chairman, explained it was <br />only the Council Committee which met, but that he had personally given Mr. <br />Sipes a copy of the report and recommendations made at the meeting. Council- <br />man Henderson requested that she be furnished with a list of all committee <br />members. (Memo 9/13/66) <br />Councilman Granger moved to offer for adoption RESOLUTION NO. 5140 COMMEMORATING <br />THE MEMORY OF MARY E. WINTER, widow of Joseph N. Winter, who served as Chief <br />of Redwood City Volunteer Fire Department from 1899 to 1915, and mother of <br />Lisle Winter, former Water Superintendent, seconded by Councilman Rosselli <br />and carried unanimously on roll call vote. <br />Mayor Herkner asked that Vice Mayor Robert H. Bury assume the chair for purpose <br />of adjourning Council meeting in memory of C. B. Currie. Mayor Herkner read <br />resolution commemorating Cuthbert B. Currie in full, reciting fact he had <br />served the City of Redwood City as City Attorney from 1947 to 1957 and other <br />facts concerning his outstanding contributions to his community. <br />Mayor Herkner moved meeting adjourn by adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 5141 <br />COMMEMORATING THE MEMORY OF CUTHBERT B. CURRIE, seconded by Councilman <br />Granger and carried unanimously on roll call vote. Meeting adjourned at <br />11:00 P.M. <br />HELEN C. MOORE, City Clerk <br />
