Minutes of Regular Weekly Study Meeting
Redwood City Council
September 19, 1966 7:30 p.m.
Meeting called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Mayor Herkner.
In review of Agenda items, Councilman Bury questioned whether Staff recommendation
would still remain same for elimination of monthly study meeting, if Council also
would decide to eliminate the weekly half-hour study session prior to the regular
meetings. City Manager advised Staff recommendation for the four regular legis-
lative meetings would not be changed. Councilman Bury expressed desire to eliminate
both the regular monthly study meeting and the weekly half-hour study meetings.
He felt in particular the weekly study meetings created a public misunderstanding
and felt all discussion should be held in main chambers. Councilman Roselli felt
discussion of Agenda items in the weekly half-hour study meeting is essential, and
suggested possibility of a day study meeting.
Councilman Granger expressed his opposition to monthly study meetings, but felt
weekly half-hour study session valuable. Councilman Henderson expressed agreement
with Councilman Bury in that all discussion should be held at regular meeting.
(continued to next page)
