81 i <br />Councilman Henderson stated City Manager had provided Council with a copy of Stone <br />& Youngbert Municipal Financial Letter and read from statement concerning tax <br />exempt status of municipal bonds. She requested letter from Gerhard Mohr be read <br />at this time, but consensus was that the letter should be submitted with other <br />communications. <br />Councilman Henderson moved to adopt ORDINANCE NO. 1275 APPROPRIATING THE TOTAL SUM OF <br />$11,196.00 FROM THE BUDGETED RESERVES OF THE GENERAL FUND TO PROVIDE FOR PAYMENT OF <br />ADDITIONAL HEALTH AND LIFE INSURANCE, UNIFORMS, AND RETIREMENT BENEFITS FOR DESIGNATED <br />ACTIVITIES, seconded by Councilman Keckley and carried on roll call vote. <br />Councilman Bury moved to adopt ORDINANCE NO. 1130.61 ADDING SECTION 60.3.13 TO ORDINANCE <br />NO. 1130, THE REDWOOD CITY ZONING ORDINANCE, REZONING PROPERTY IN THE VICINITY OF <br />MAIN STREET AND VETERANS BOULEVARD, seconded by Councilman Henderson and carried on <br />roll call vote. <br />Motion by Councilman Granger to call this action of Council to the attention of the <br />Architectural Committee for observation, seconded by Councilman Bury and carried on <br />roll call vote, Councilman Petersen voting no. (MINUTE ORDER #66-211) <br />Councilman Keckley moved to adopt ORDINANCE NO. 1130.62 ADDING SECTION 60.3.14 TO <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1130, THE REDWOOD CITY ZONING ORDINANCE, REZONING PROPERTY IN THE <br />VICINITY OF THE BLOCK BOUNDED BY ARGUELLO, ALDEN AND WARREN STREETS, AND BREWSTER <br />AVENUE, seconded by Councilman Granger and carried on roll call vote. <br />COMMUNICATIONS: <br />Letter from Division of Highways inviting members of Council to a workshop session <br />on Scenic Highways, October 25, 1966 at 9:00 a.m. <br />Communication from Walker Beverage Company, San Carlos, regarding barrier at Oak <br />Avenue, and explaining that since barrier has been put in, beer sales have dropped <br />at "Me & Ed's Pizza Parlor", from 65 to 70%. They state complete support of removal <br />of barrier. <br />Statement submitted by Lion's Club regarding Bike Race held July 4, 1966, stating <br />they received $1,342.09 income, $1,518.94 expense, with a net deficit of $176.85 <br />which the Lion's Club paid. <br />Councilman Rosselli requested Lion's Club letter be acknowledged and also thank them <br />for sponsoring the race and hope they continue to do so in the future. <br />Letter from Gerhard E. Mohr, 510 Iris St., Redwood City, regarding bond financing <br />for Redwood Shores district. Councilman Rosselli suggested acknowledging letter and <br />correct Mr. Mohr's inaccuracies. Councilman Bury stated Mr. Mohr is employed with <br />Internal Revenue Bureau, and that he should contact Manager and let Manager explain <br />to him. City Manager stated he had talked with him at least 4 or 5 times and has <br />tried to explain different points in detail. City Manager stated he will acknowledge <br />Mr. Mohr's letter. (Memo 10/4/66) <br />Mr. Fred Gates, 3871 Vineyard Drive, appeared to question if <br />Agenda items pertaining to Redwood Shores could be put in <br />sequence on the Agenda from now on. <br />City Clerk stated it is possible if this does not interfere with public hearings. <br />CLAIM: Nos. 58017 to 58255, totaling $796,680.19, were approved on motion of Councilman <br />Rosselli, seconded by Councilman Bury and carried. <br />Motion by Councilman Granger to adjourn meeting to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday to Police Class <br />Room, Police Building, seconded by Councilman Bury. <br />
