(' D <br />Councilman Petersen moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 5208 AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF REDWOOD AND THE REDWOOD CITY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE <br />RELATING TO BEAUTIFICATION OF PUBLIC STREETS DURING THE HOLIDAY SEASON, seconded <br />by Councilman Rosselli and carried on roll call vote. <br />Councilman Bury moved to adopt ORDINANCE NO. 1284 APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $2,638 <br />FROM THE BUDGETED RESERVE OF THE GENERAL FUND FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FOR <br />THE INSTALLATION OF CHIRSTMAS DECORATIONS ON THE PUBLIC STREETS OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />seconded by Councilman Rosselli. On the question, Councilman Henderson again <br />expressed her opposition to appropriating funds at this time as she had stated <br />when ordinance introduced at Council meeting of November 21st. Motion carried on <br />- roll call vote, Councilman Henderson voting no. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved to adopt ORDINANCE NO. 1130.65 ADDING SECTION 60.3.16 TO <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1130, THE REDWOOD CITY ZONING ORDINANCE, REZONING PROPERTY IN THE <br />VICINITY OF BAY ROAD AND FIFTH AVENUE, seconded by Councilman Henderson and <br />carried on roll call vote, Councilmen Keckley abstaining because of his absence <br />from public hearing. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved to grant extension of time for submission of Final Map, <br />Motor City as requested, seconded by Councilman Henderson. Staff report stated <br />the one year's time allowed for submission of Final Map, after approval by <br />Planning Commission of the Tentative Map, had elapsed, and that Planning Commission <br />recommended a six (6) months extension from October 19, 1966, in order minor changes <br />may be completed. It was also reported Final Map was approved by Planning Commission <br />at their meeting of November 22, 1966. City Manager reported he had hoped to ask <br />Council's approval of Final Map at this meeting but felt it premature untilmore <br />information had been submitted concerning the improvement agreement. He advised <br />this material would be submitted prior to Council meeting of next week. <br />(Memo 11/28/66) Motion carried. <br />Legislative Committee Report. Councilman Rosselli, Chairman of Legislative Committee, <br />read report and recommendation on following items which had been,:considered by this <br />Committee: <br />1. Tidelands Resolution. Requested by City of Long Beach for <br />Council's supporting Resolution opposing legislation affect- <br />ing a City's jurisdiction over its tidelands grants. <br />Committee recommends no action be taken on this request, stating <br />opposition to any specific legislation should be made through <br />League of California Cities Tidelands Committee, on which City <br />Attorney has been serving. <br />2. E1 Camino -Oak Median. Committee after exploring various pro- <br />posals, recommends that median be opened, that full signaliza- <br />tion be installed and parking removed from both sides of Oak <br />between El Camino and Adams; procedures to implement recommen- <br />dation detailed. <br />3. Woodside Road. Committee recommends proceeding immediately <br />with signalization at Hudson street; preliminary plans for <br />widening be reviewed by Council immediately; recommends <br />undergrounding of all utilities be thoroughly explored. <br />4. Post Office. Committee recommends City reactivate its program to <br />secure new post office facilities for Redwood City. <br />
