406 <br />Annual Salary <br />City Manager Increase - $1,200, to $22,200 <br />City Attorney Increase 9005 to 17,600 <br />City Clerk -Treasurer -Collector Increase _ 884, to 165100 <br />Auditor -Accountant Increase 812, to 1155200 <br />Seconded by Councilman Keckley and carried. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved to introduce Ordinance establishing salaries for <br />employees of the City of Redwood City and repealing Sections 1 through 46 of <br />Ordinance No. 1232, seconded by Councilman Keckley and carried unanimously on <br />roll call vote. <br />Councilman Granger moved to adjourn commemorating the memory of James F. Dillon, a <br />former City Employee, and to 7:30 p.m., December 20, 1966, Veterans Memorial <br />Building 1455 Madison Avenue, for report by Regional Planning Commission, <br />seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. Meeting adjourned at 11:17 p.m. <br />LEN C. MOORE, City Clerk <br />Minutes of Adjourned Regular Meeting <br />Redwood City Council <br />December 20, 1966 7:30 P. M. <br />Mayor Herkner called the meeting to order at 7:40 p.m. (Veterans Memorial Bldg.) <br />ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present: Councilmen Robert H. Bury, Mary W. <br />Henderson, Paul C. Keckley, Herbert G. Petersen and Mayor Sidney D. Herkner; <br />Councilmen Floyd D. Granger & John S. Rosselli noted absent. Also noted present <br />were City Manager Howard C. Ullrich, City Attorney Richard E. Gardella and <br />Planning Director Ken Schroeter, members of Planning Commission & Park & Recrea- <br />tion Commission. <br />Mayor Herkner welcomed representatives from Belmont, San Carlos, Portola Valley and <br />Woodside, who were present for the presentation, and turned the meeting over to <br />Councilman Keckley, currently vice-chairman of the Regional Planning Commission <br />and scheduled for the Chairmanship of the next term, who in turn introduced Mr. <br />Smauel H. Halsted, Chairman of the Regional Planning Commission. Mr. Halsted <br />stated that this presentation was proposed in order that the RPC could get the <br />benefit of the thinking of Redwood City and the other cities participating in <br />this discussion, since the plan and program were designed to benefit everyone <br />in San Mateo County. <br />Mr. Halsted presented Mr. Marty Boat of San Mateo County Planning Commission who <br />spoke on the sub -committee for Park and Open Spaces. Illustrated slides of the <br />proposed new parks, trails, and water ways, were shown with commentary explaining <br />their short range plan to be completed by 1970, and the long range plan for com- <br />pletion by 1990. Mr. Boat also reviewed the sites available in the County for <br />future parks. <br />Mr. Ralph Shaw, San Mateo County Recreation Director, spoke on the recreational <br />needs for the future. He urged the preservation of the San Francisco -owned water- <br />shed in its natural element; reviewed the population projections to 1990 and its <br />effect on park usage; discussed the potential of San Mateo County.
