399 <br />stated prior resolutions concerning formation of this assessment district had been <br />repealed by Council on November 21, 1966, and new proceedings initiated. <br />Councilman Henderson asked why initiation of new proceedings were necessary. City <br />Attorney advised of the previous technical error made in descriptions of property <br />which new proceedings necessary. There being no communications or oral protest, <br />Councilman Petersen moved to close the public hearing, seconded by Councilman Bury, <br />Councilman Granger asked that records state formation of this district was initiated <br />by City in interest of public welfare because of lack of cooperation by property <br />owners in the area. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Petersen moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 5225 BEING RESOLUTION OF PUBLIC <br />CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY, LEXINGTON AVENUE AND VICINITY IMPROVEMENTS, seconded by <br />Councilman Keckley and carried on roll call vote, Councilman Rosselli abstaining. <br />Councilman Bury moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 5226 APPROVING PLANS, PROFILES, <br />DETAILED DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS, LEXINGTON AVENUE AND VICINITY IMPROVEMENTS, <br />seconded by Councilman Henderson and carried on roll call vote, Councilman Rosselli <br />abstaining. <br />Councilman Keckley moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 5227 BEING RESOLUTION OF INTENTION <br />TO CONSTRUCT CERTAIN PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS, LEXINGTON AVENUE AND VICINITY IMPROVEMENTS <br />(sets public hearing for January 23, 1967) seconded by Councilman Henderson and <br />carried on roll call vote, Councilman Rosselli abstaining. <br />Councilman Granger moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 5228 FIXING MINIMUM WAGE SCALE, <br />LEXINGTON AVENUE AND VICINITY IMPROVEMENTS, seconded by Councilman Petersen and <br />carried on roll call vote, Councilman Rosselli abstaining. <br />Councilman Keckley moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 5229 ORDERING CALL FOR BIDS, LEX- <br />INGTON AVENUE AND VICINITY IMPROVEMENTS, seconded by Councilman Bury and carried on <br />roll call vote, Councilman Rosselli abstaining. <br />Mayor Herkner announced introduction of Salary Ordinance schedtled for this time would <br />be continued on Council Agenda until after a further discussion at an adjourned meet- <br />ing at the conclusion of the regular agenda. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 5230 DECLARING WEEDS, DIRT, RUBBISH, <br />AND RANK GROWTHS A NUISANCE AND ORDERING THEIR REMOVAL (sets public hearing for <br />January 16, 1967), seconded by Councilman Keckley. <br />Staff report stated a similar previous resolution was adopted by Council but City <br />Attorney recommended this new resolution be adopted in order to commence annual <br />proceedings under the terms of the new Weed Abatement Ordinance.
