• External funding opportunities An Administrative draft will be developed for review and feedback from the City. Any comments received will be incorporated to develop a Draft NSEP that will be presented to the three communities in a second round of community meetings for their review and feedback. During this second round of meetings, a variety of alternative enhancement plans will be discussed based on the neighborhoods input received at the first set of meetings (in Task 2). This second round of meetings will be with the three neighborhoods individually. A final, joint community meeting will propose an implementation plan for immediate, near-term, and long-term enhancements and lead to next steps. Community feedback will be incorporated into the Final NSEP. Additional details on our planned Public Meeting Preparation and Community Meeting approach are provided below. • Meeting Preparation o Identify location, date and format for workshops (open house, bike tours, round table discussion, and community conversation) as per Outreach Plan o Prepare graphic pieces for posting on website, City flyers, or mailing with project branding o Coordinate with City to distribute notices o Develop agenda and staff assignments • Community Meeting o Prepare graphic materials/images/presentation to facilitate input and discussion, using base material provided by design team o Prepare interactive materials for community to review and comment on o Meeting support, including nametags, sign -in sheets, set-up, etc. o Facilitate meeting to maximize public engagement o Prepare written summary of meeting Deliverables Draft and Final bilingual meeting notices and content for advertising meetings via social media Outreach meetings (3 individual neighborhood meetings and 1 joint community meeting), meeting summaries Administrative Draft NSEP, Draft NSEP and Final NSEP Task 4— Develop Conceptual Designs Working closely with the City and County staff, Consultant will develop conceptual designs for improvements identified for near-term implementation. We will make necessary field observations, verify constructability, and develop conceptual designs that can be further developed (through a separate contract) into construction documents for formal bidding. We will also provide rough, order of magnitude cost estimates for the conceptual designs. We will utilize industry best practices, NACTO design guidelines, and Vision Zero principles from other cities to develop these conceptual designs.
