M. <br />Meeting called to order by Mayor Herkner at 7:30 P.M. <br />Councilman Rosselli reported having contacted Alyn Beals, Park & Recreation Commis- <br />sioner, as directed by Council, to ascertain whether he would be interested in <br />serving another term on this Commission should Council consider waiving esta- <br />blished policy of restricting Commission terms. He stated Mr. Beals had indi- <br />cated that he would like to be replaced inasmuch as he had served continuously <br />on this Commission since 1952, but that he would like to continue as a member <br />of the Citizens Committee working on the Winan's Report for park and recreation <br />plans for the City. <br />Councilman Rosselli stated he would like to offer Dixon Arnett as a candidate <br />for the Commission as he had been active on the Citizens' Committee for Park <br />& Recreation Commission in study of Winan's Report, active in proposing <br />improvements for Stulsaft Park, and that he and his wife both are very civic <br />minded. He asked that City Clerk contact other two Commissioners eligible for <br />reappointment to ascertain if they would be willing to serve another term. <br />Consolidated Sewerage Plan Report. City Manager reviewed report previously submitted <br />to Council concerning the progress that had been made for a consolidated sewerage <br />plan with Belmont, San Carlos, Woodside and the County, as authorized by Council. <br />He stated meetings had been held with Mr. John Jenks and the Administrators of <br />the other entities which had resulted in proposals for initiating procedures on <br />the Plan and of the recommendations for Council's approval which would be presented <br />during the legislative meeting for authorization of a financing and administrative <br />study, subject to allocation of proportionate costs estimated at a total $5,000 <br />based on present dry weather volumes of waste -water flows of each service area. <br />Proposed percentages of costs distribution estimated as follows: <br />Redwood City <br />San Carlos <br />Belmont <br />Flow mgd % of Total <br />5.86 <br />61.o <br />2.33 <br />24.5 <br />1.37 <br />14.5 <br />9.56 <br />100. <br />City Manager stated cost estimated to City would be some $3,050 of which 30%, or <br />$915 to be recouped by County contribution because of their involvement in the <br />Plan by virtue of the Fair Oaks Sewer District. He also stated it was expected <br />that the Town of Woodside and Redwood Shoxe s would participate in the City's <br />W :? .67 <br />
