<br />Pledge of Allegiance led by Councilman Granger.
<br />Invocation led by Brigadier Harold Nadeau, Salvation Army,
<br />ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present: Councilmen Robert H. Bury, Floyd D. —
<br />Granger, Mary W. Henderson, Paul C. Keckley, Herbert G. Petersen, Mayor Sidney
<br />D. Herkner and City Clerk Helen C. Moore.
<br />Also noted present were City Manager Howard C. Ullrich, City Attorney Richard
<br />E. Gardella, Assistant City Manager Henry V. Burget, Police Chief William
<br />Faulstich, Planning Director Ken Schroeter, Director of Public Works J. Louis
<br />Scherer, Recreation Director A. S. Morton, Chief Building Official Charles
<br />Gyselbrecht and Deputy City Clerk Marian McCrindle.
<br />Councilman Keckley moved to approve Minutes of Regular Meeting of April 10, 1967
<br />seconded by Councilman Bury. Councilman Henderson requested minutes be amended
<br />to include a direct answer to her questa m during public hearing on Park &
<br />Recreation Element of the General Plan as to whether any dedication of land was
<br />being made to City on park and open space in connection with Redwood Peninsula
<br />development plans. City Manager explained the General Plan submitted on this
<br />area, which was approved by Council and Planning Commission, had indicated a
<br />thirty-five acre park outside of the District on Scavenger land, negotiations
<br />for acquiring same having apparently failed by Leslie; Tentative Plan Map as
<br />presented did not contain any park lands to be dedicated by the developer,
<br />review of which had been more fully given by Planning Director during the
<br />Public Hearing. Discussion held concerning need for policy of amending Minutes
<br />and amount of detail considered necessary. Motion carried to approve minutes
<br />as amended to include City Manager's remarks.
<br />Continued Public Hearing, appeal of Ad -Art, Inc., on behalf of Challenge Development
<br />Inc., for proposed sign to be located at Oddstad Drive and Hansen Way, for
<br />which approval has been denied by the Building Official.
<br />City Clerk reported publichearing had been continued to this date at the re-
<br />quest of Ad -Art, Inc., for matter to be studied by the Sign Committee in in-
<br />terim, but that a subsequent request had been received under date of April 11,
<br />1967, from Mr. Duke Schneider of Ad -Art, Inc., requesting public hearing be
<br />again continued to April 24, 1967, because his client would not be in the
<br />State for this meeting. Councilman Petersen moved to continue public hearing
<br />to April 24, 1967, seconded by Councilman Granger, if motion amended to add con-
<br />tinuance granted at the request of the appellants. Motion carried. MINUTE ORDER

<br />Public Hearing, Official Plan Lines for Canyon Road, between Oak Knoll Drive and
<br />Cordilleras Road, declared open and affidavits of publication and mailing ordered
<br />filed. Report of the Planning Commission read, in which it was reported Planning
<br />Commission, after a public hearing held on March 14th, 1967, had unanimously
<br />recommended Council's adoption of Plan Lines as submitted.
<br />Staff report read stating Canyon Road, from Oak Knoll Drive to Cordilleras Road,
<br />was for the most part, a 40' right of way width, the easterly half of the street
<br />only being in the corporate limits of Redwood City. The proposed Plan Line
