0 <br />50 <br />Councilman Bury moved this matter be referred back to Planning Commission <br />with recommendations made by Council for a report and recommendation for <br />Council's further consideration, seconded by Councilman Henderson and carried <br />on roll call vote, Councilman Rosselli voting no. (MINUTE ORDER #67-79) <br />Acceptance of Parking Lot of Community Activities Building, as recommended by Staff, <br />approved on motion of Councilman Keckley, seconded by Councilman Bury. Staff <br />report stated acceptance of the parking lot had been excluded when the building <br />had been accepted by Council because of being unsatisfactory and $1,000 withheld <br />from contractors' progress payment to guarantee correction of the deficiency, action <br />as now recommended by Staff would release funds withheld. Councilman Bury <br />commented on the attractiveness of the parking lot and felt it should set an <br />example for others proposed. <br />Councilman Henderson questioned water still noticeable in front of the entrance <br />to building and was advised by the City Manager of the corrections to be made by <br />City which would insure better drainage, as contractor had fulfilled his res- <br />ponsibility on the parking lot deficiencies. Motion carried. (MINUTE ORDER #67-80 <br />Councilman Henderson moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 5353 APPROVING PLANS AND <br />SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF REDWOOD CREEK CHANNEL IMPROVEMENTS, EL <br />CAMINO REAL TO MIDDLEFIELD ROAD, GENERAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT 1-65, PROJECT <br />SD -4, AND AUTHORIZING CITY CLERK TO CALL FOR BIDS THEREFOR, seconded by Council- <br />man Granger and carried on roll call vote. <br />Councilman Granger moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 5354 FINDING AND DETERMINING <br />THAT THE PUBLIC INTEREST ADM NECESSITY REQUIRE THE ACQUISITION AND CONSTRUCTION <br />BY THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT, NAMELY, STORM AND FLOOD <br />WATER DRAINAGE FACILITIES, IN AND UPON THAT CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY HEREIN DES- <br />CRIBED; THAT THE ACQUISITION OF A RIGHT OF WAY AND EASEMENTS IN SAID REAL PROPERTY <br />HEREIN DESCRIBED IS NECESSARY FOR SAID PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS; AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />ATTORNEY TO BRING AN ACTION IN EMINENT DOMAIN TO ACQUIRE SAID REAL PROPERTY AND <br />TO APPLY FOR AN ORDER OF IMMEDIATE POSSESSION OF SAID REAL PROPERTY; AND AUTHORI- <br />ZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO DEPOSIT MONEY FOR IMMEDIATE POSSESSION OF <br />SAID REAL PROPERTY, (authorizes condemnation for rights of way in Project SD -4,) <br />seconded by Councilman Keckley and carried on roll call vote. <br />Councilman Henderson moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 5355 APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFI- <br />CATIONS FOR FARM HILL BOULEVARD EXTENSION, PHASE II, AND AUTHORIZING CALL FOR <br />BIDS THEREFOR, seconded by Councilman Keckley. <br />Staff report stated this proposed construction was the joint project between <br />Sequoia High School District, San Mateo Junior College District, Challenge Develop- <br />ment Co., Oddstad Homes, City, and County, which had been previously approved <br />by Council, City's contribution of $75,194 having been appropriated in the cur- <br />rent budget, participants' contribution either received or having been now <br />requested. Motion carried on roll call vote. <br />Councilman Bury moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 5356 APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS FOR ONE <br />LATEST MODEL AUTOMOBILE; AND, AUTHORIZING CITY CLERK TO CALL FOR BIDS THEREFOR <br />(Police Department) seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried on roll call vote. <br />Councilman Bury moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 5357 ENDORSING RECOMMENDATIONS OF MARINE <br />AFFAIRS CONFERENCE, seconded by Councilman Rosselli. <br />Staff report stated Port Board had requested this Resolution as is annually done <br />to support the recommendations made by the Marine Affairs Conference for appro- <br />priation of Federal funds for California harbors. Mayor Herkner advised that <br />Port Commissioner Budd Stevenson was going to Washington to make an appearance <br />a 1 '67 <br />
