Motion carried on roll call vote. <br />Councilman Bury moved to adopt ORDINANCE NO. 1311 ADDING SECTION 20.96.20-1 TO CHAPTER <br />20 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO VEHICULAR PARKING RESTRIC- <br />TIONS ON WILSON STREET (restricts parking to 2 hours on South side of Wilson <br />Street, El Camino to Franklin) seconded by Councilman Henderson and carried on <br />roll call vote. <br />Councilman Bury moved to adopt ORDINANCE NO. 1130.70 AMENDING SECTION 31.7 OF ORDINANCE <br />NO. 1130, THE REDWOOD CITY ZONING ORDINANCE, RELATING TO EXCAVATIONS AND GRADING, <br />seconded by Councilman Keckley and carried on roll call vote. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved to introduce Ordinance amending Sections 30.15 and 30.16 <br />of Chapter 30 of the Code of the City of Redwood City, relating to excavations, <br />seconded by Councilman Keckley. Staff report stated this ordinance had been pre- <br />viously introduced and adopted by Council, but because of an omission in the <br />published ordinance, it was requested that Council re -introduce ordinance so that <br />the correct publication could be made. Motion carried. <br />DAMAGE CLAIM of Mrs. Myra Smith, 258 Lowell Street, for personal injuries alleged to <br />have been caused by fall on City sidewalk, denied and referred to insurance <br />carrier on motion of Councilman Petersen, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and <br />carried. (MINUTE ORDER #67-81) <br />Mr. Morley Turner, 969 Nob Hill Road, appeared to make <br />certain allegations against City on handling of Farm <br />Hill slide area and reported on results of certain <br />investigations he claimed he had made by experts which <br />indicated slide area still in jeopardy, and questioned <br />future actions of Council in this area. <br />Mayor Herkner took exception on behalf of Council to assertions and allegations <br />stated by Mr. Turner, but on advice of City Attorney, in view of threatened liti- <br />gation, stated no further discussion would beheld on this subject at this time. <br />Councilman Henderson suggested Council express their appreciation to Mr. Turner <br />for his interest in reporting on this subject matter, and asked if Staff would <br />make a report to Council. City Attorney suggested Mr. Turner communicate the <br />knowledge he had acquired from experts to the Department of Public Works per- <br />sonnel for their review. Councilman Rosselli asked that a progress report be <br />given to Council on this slide area and house moving permit that had been granted. <br />City Manager assured Council a report would be submitted to Councilmembers. <br />(Memo 5/2/67) <br />Mayor Herkner asked that a report submitted by an "Ad Hoc" Committee appointed <br />by him to make recommendations to establish guidelines on courtesy resolutions <br />and certificates be placed on the Council's Agenda for rest week. <br />Mayor Herkner reported on the very successful "clean-up" program which had been con- <br />ducted throughout the City with donation of time and equipment by the San Mateo <br />County Scavenger Company, Boy Scout Troops, and other service organizations and <br />City personnel. Councilman Granger moved that Mayor Herkner write letters of <br />appreciation to all those participating in this program, seconded by Councilman <br />Rosselli and carried.
