He felt it important to
note in areas where storm drainage well in hand and no flooding had resulted as
in former times, there being no flooding in downtown area, nor flooding around
Ampex area on lower Broadway, and Whipple at E1 Camino much improved. He stated
I— specific area of major concern had been Redwood Avenue area which would be
corrected when Projects SD 11 and 12 had completed, to be ready for bid by March.
He stated the creek in the area had never had sufficient capacity and each
increase in building in area increased problem.
- He reported problems involved on Redwood Avenue: 1) ditching failure (2) debris
catching along bridges; (3) the barricades which had been placed to protect cars
ignored. He advised of the steps having been taken to notify businessmen along
E1 Camino for need to sandbag in time to prevent water damage to their stores,
biggest problem at this point having been caused by speeding cars causing waves
