m <br />Councilman Bury confirmed statements made as a result of his own investigation by <br />an interview with a mobile home park owner and expressions were made as to <br />desirability of reverting this matter back to the State. Motion carried on roll <br />call vote. <br />Councilman Granger moved to introduce Ordinance repealing Article IV (commencing <br />at Section 34.20) of the Code of the City of Redwood City relating to Trailer Parks, <br />seconded by Councilman Keckley and carried. <br />Request of Western U. S. Construction Co, for extension of time in which to complete <br />the Hoover Swim Pool Construction presented for consideration. <br />Staff report stated contractor had requested an extension of Ninety-one (91) days <br />to complete their contract, actual time lost on their contract due to delays caused <br />by rainy weather and also because of the days spent repairing the rain damage. <br />Contractor stated they were trying for a completion date of June 30th. Bonding <br />company consented to the extension. <br />Staff recommended extension of time be granted to June 30, 1967 only. Councilman <br />Rosselli moved to grant extension of time for completion of contract for this <br />project to June 30th, 1967, seconded by Councilman Petersen. Councilman Petersen <br />stated he felt recommendation justified, as recommended by Staff, as there <br />appeared to be no question of time having been lost when contract was first <br />awarded,and their own statement indicated completion date anticipated by June <br />30th. Motion carried. (MINUTE ORDER #67-99) <br />Request for Renewal of Lease of Howard P. Leahy, Redwood City, for use of Marina property <br />(Marine Harbor - Boat Sales and Marine Hardware Facilities). <br />Staff report stated an agreement had now been reached after lengthy negotiations <br />providing for a renewal of this existing lease, and since lease expires on May 31, <br />Staff recommended a thirty (30) day extension, during which time Staff would <br />advertise for bids and submit the proposed agreement to the Department of Harbors <br />and Waterways for approval. <br />Councilman Bury reported Marina Committee had concurred in recommendation made by <br />Staff. <br />Councilman Petersen moved to extend the present lease for Thirty (30) days, <br />excluding from the extension, Paragraph 33 of the present lease which provides for <br />annual renewals, as recommended by Staff, seconded by Councilman Keckley and carried. <br />(MINUTE ORDER #67-100) <br />Councilman Keckley moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 5371 APPROVING LEASE AGREEMENT OF <br />REDWOOD CITY MARINE HARBOR REAL PROPERTY FOR BOAT SALES AND MARINE HARDWARE FACILI- <br />TIES, AND AUTHORIZING CALL FOR BIDS, seconded by Councilman Bury. <br />Mr. Leahy was noted present and declined Councilman Bury's invitation to make any <br />additional statements concerning this matter. Motion carried on roll call vote. <br />DAMAGE CLAIM of John W. Kuhn, owner of Community Laundrette, 3213 Oak Knoll Drive, for <br />property damages and financial losses, alleged to have been caused by dirt in the <br />water supply furnished by the City, denied and referred to insurance carrier on <br />motion of Councilman Keckley, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. <br />(MINUTE ORDER #67-101) <br />MAY 22 V <br />
