City Attorney <br />also explained why completion of demolition procedures would probably take two or <br />three months due to a thirty -day period to give final notice ordering demolition <br />by property owner, or those who might have authority in this instance, and for <br />processing of bids, etc. Councilman Rosselli moved to close the public hearing, <br />seconded by Councilman Keckley and carried. <br />Councilman Petersen moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 5390 DECLARING STRUCTURES LOCATED <br />AT 1327 HANCOCK STREET IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY TO BE A PUBLIC NUISANCE, DIREC- <br />TING THE OWNER TO ABATE SAID NUISANCE, AND ORDERING THE EXPENSE OF ABATEMENT TO <br />BE MADE A LIEN UPON THE LAND IN THE EVENT THE NUISANCE IS NOT ABATED BY THE OWNER, <br />seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried on roll call vote, Mayor Sidney D. <br />Herkner being noted absent. <br />PUBLIC HEARING, Resolution of Intention of the Planning Commission to rezone from R-5 <br />to R-5-0 District, the area on the westerly side of Brewster Avenue between the <br />Pulgas Ranch line and Warren Street, being Lots 7 through 12, Block 7, Range E. <br />Mezesville; Lots 7 through 12, Block 7, Range D, Mezesville, Lots 7 through 12, <br />Block 6, Range C. Mezesville, declared open and affidavits of publication and <br />mailing ordered filed. <br />Report of the Planning Commission read stating a public hearing had been held by <br />the Commission on May 23, 1967, at which time no protests had been received. A <br />motion at the Planning Commission hearing had been made to terminate the proceed- <br />ings on this matter, but had been lost on roll call vote, and motion thereafter <br />passed to recommend to the City Council to rezone from R-5 to R -5-0-A, the area <br />described in their Resolution of Intention, and that the balance of the area be <br />pursued by the Staff for the addition of the A -Combining District in a new appli- <br />cation. Staff report stated this item was originally reviewed on an application <br />for rezoning for a portion of area now being considered, and as applicant subse- <br />quently obtained Power of Attorney from eight other owners of the properties front- <br />ing on Brewster Avenue between Warren St. and the Pulgas Ranch Line authorizing the <br />inclusion of their properties in the applications, and since this left only three <br />owners not included in the applications, the Planning Commission had adopted a <br />Resolution of Intention to consider the rezoning of all lots fronting on Brewster <br />Avenue within this section. <br />It was also stated that this would be the first "0" Combining District in the R-5 <br />District for this area between Whipple Avenue and Brewster Avenue, if adopted; that <br />Brewster Avenue was bordered on the Easterly side by CA zoning district to provide <br />for business and administrative offices not permitted in the PO District or "0" <br />Combining District, the CA zoning in this District having been designed as an <br />127 <br />MAO @t <br />
