No second to motion <br />received. <br />Councilman Keckley moved to deny the protest and confirm the assessment <br />charges, seconded by Councilman Petersen and carried on roll call vote, <br />Councilmen Bury, Granger, Keckley, Petersen and Mayor Herkner voting yes, <br />Councilman Rosselli voting no, <br />ASSESSMENT CONFIRMED <br />Silvio Boicelli, 533 Santa Clara Avenue <br />Parcel 059-162-240 $162.40 <br />Mr. Boicelli appeared to protest high costs of abatement of weeds and <br />that the work not well done as weeds still evident on the property. <br />Council asked that Staff take note of condition of property concerning weeds <br />and see that weeds are abated according to contract without additional <br />costs to property owner. <br />Council also asked that Staff take note or remarks made by Mr. Boicelli con- <br />cerning condition of property at Marshall and Fuller Streets„ (Memo 8/22/67) <br />Councilman Keckley moved to deny the protest and confirm the assessment char- <br />ges because weeds had been sprayed the three scheduled sprayings, seconded by <br />Councilman Petersen and tied on roll call vote, Councilmen Bury, Keckley, and <br />Petersen voting yes, Councilmen Granger, Rosselli and Mayor Herkner voting no. <br />Council members discussed basis for consideration of a reduction of these <br />charges and also fact that Mr. Boicelli had asked Council the previous year <br />not to abate weeds on his property. <br />Assistant City Attorney reminded Council of requirements of present Ordinance <br />requiring written request by property owners that their property not be abated, <br />which notice could not be considered accumulative, but must be done yearly. <br />193 <br />Ax'j 'sl <br />
