451 <br />City Manager asked that this item be placed on Council's agenda for next week so <br />that further details might be furnished and agreement prepared, if Council de- <br />sired to proceed on this project. Mayor Herkner asked this be placed on next <br />week's agenda. (Feb. 20) (Memo 2/14/67) <br />Councilman Rosselli questioned status of acquisition proceedings for Woodside Ex- <br />pressway Pedestrian Overpass. City Attorney advised two parcels are involved, <br />one of which is owned by the State and if resolution proposed is adopted by the <br />Council at this meeting, State Highway Division will place this matter on their <br />Agenda of March 15th for their determination as to sale price, etc.; the other <br />parcel involved already having been negotiated for purchase and a deed received <br />for recordation as soon as the appropriation ordinance becomes effective. <br />Councilman Rosselli questioned presentation to be made of the Woodside Expressway <br />design and was advised by the City Manager both City and County Staff had re- <br />viewed design and City had suggested several changes but was unaware of whether <br />County Staff had made any suggestions for change. Director of Public Works <br />stated design being presented incorporated recommendations of all 3 jurisdic- <br />tions involved. Councilman Rosselli questioned whether he could represent himself <br />(business owner) - amended 2/20/67 <br />as a property owner on this route and also act as a Council member. <br />City Attorney advised Councilman Rosselli no conflict of interest present in this <br />matter as project of City-wide benefit not on individual benefit. <br />Minutes of Regular Meeting <br />Redwood City Council <br />February 13, 1967 8:00 P. Also noted pre- <br />sent were City Manager Howard C. Ullrich, City Attorney Richard E. Gardella, <br />Assistant City Manager Henry V. Burget, Police Chief William Faulstich, Fire <br />Chief J. L. Lodi, Planning Director Ken Schroeter, Director of Public Works J. <br />Louis Scherer, Auditor Accountant Jack Ference, Traffic Engineer Arthur Eskelin, <br />Recreation Director A. S. Morton, Park Superintendent Pasco Balzarini, Building <br />Inspector S. H. Kreiss, and Deputy City Clerk Marian McCrindle. <br />Councilman Keckley moved to approve Minutes of Council Meeting of February 6, <br />1967, as mailed, seconded by Councilman Petersen and carried. <br />Fire Chief Lodi presented newly appointed Deputy Chief of the Fire Department, Jack <br />Keller and reviewed his high qualifications. Mayor Herkner, on behalf of Council, <br />congratulated Mr. Keller and introduced his family. Mayor Herkner also read a <br />news article which had appeared in the Tribune this date from a citizen com- <br />mending personnel of the Fire Department for a fine fire fighting job which had <br />been personally observed. <br />PUBLIC HEARING, Resolution of Intention to abandon a portion of a City Street, Tacoma <br />Way, declared open and affidavits of publication and posting ordered filed. <br />There being no communications or oral protest, Councilman Rosselli moved to close <br />the public hearing, seconded by Councilman Granger. <br />
