Planning Director reported facts were
known to the Department along with traffic problems which were increasing in this
area and that the present zoning had been deemed satisfactory for the present
time.
Mayor Herkner suggested Council adjourn in memory of Mr. John G. Garrity, a prom-
inent business man of Redwood City and who had instigated City's "Stamp Out
Crime Crusade" program.
Councilman Henderson moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 5293 COMMEMORATING THE
MEMORY OF JOHN G. MOORE, City Clerk
Minutes of Regular Weekly Study Meeting
Redwood City Council
February 27, 1967 7:30 P. M.
Meeting called to order at7:30 p.m. by Mayor Herkner.
Review of Agenda items.
Councilman Henderson asked for description of Tractor -Loader with Scarifier
Scraper and its specific uses. Director of Public Works reported City's jeep
loader was to be replaced by the Tractor with a loader on the front needed
for back filling word and described uses of scarifier.
Councilman Petersen suggested consideration of CATV License applications be con-
tinued until such time as Staff had a chance to review the additional applica-
tions which had been received. City Manager stated he had requested in his
report on this subject that this matter be held over to March 6th to give
Staff opportunity to analyze the last application received.
Councilman Rosselli indicated he favored a deadline for receipt of applications.
Councilman Keckley questioned whether deadline of March 1 suggested by Staff would
give enough time to make report and analysis for Council, should other appli-
cations be received. City Manager advised of the one application pending of
which Staff was aware and waiting its submission in final form, but problem
would only result if additional applications received of which Staff was unaware
at this time. Councilman Bury commented, because of nature of proposals
being received, on those applying first might be given an opportunity to amend
their proposals because of the competitiveness involved. Councilman Rosselli
stated inasmuch as no cut-off date had been established originally, indefinite
continuance would work a disadvantage to those who had submitted their proposals
some time ago.
