Councilman Keckley moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 5300 APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXE- <br />CUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR RELOCATION OF GAS TRANSMISSION LINES IN FARM HILL BOULEVARD, <br />INCLUDING EXCHANGE OF PROPERTY INTERESTS, seconded by Councilman Bury. <br />City Manager clarified action needed to provide for relocation of gas transmission <br />lines from a sketch of the area indicating present exposed location of the gas lines <br />and explained further the exchange of easements involved. Motion carried on roll <br />call vote. <br />DAMAGE CLAIM of Barbara A. Bruno, 2433 Palm Avenue, for personal injuries alleged to <br />have been caused by fall through glass window on City -owned property was denied and <br />denied because of late filing, and referred to insurance carrier on motion of <br />Councilman Keckley, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. (MINUTE ORDER <br />_ #67-38) <br />Councilman Petersen moved to approve request of Councilman Rosselli to attend Home Rule <br />Committee Meeting of League Of California Cities to be held in Palm Springs, March <br />2-3, seconded by Councilman Bury and carried. (MINUTE ORDER #67-39) <br />ACCOUNTS PAYABLE, Nos. 59998 to 60229 inclusive, totaling $294,933.13, were approved <br />on motion of Councilman Rosselli, seconded by Councilman Henderson and carried. <br />COMMUNICATIONS: <br />Copy of Resolution adopted by the Chamber of Commerce urging County Board of <br />Supervisors to request Human Resources Commission to review Redwood City's <br />"Poverty Area" designation to redefine more realistically poverty areas in <br />Redwood City. (Copy submitted to Councilmembers) <br />City Clerk read Communication addressed to Mayor Herkner from Miss Wilhemina <br />Harper, former City Librarian, thanking all members of the Council for the <br />increase to her retirement benefits. <br />Councilman Bury questioned item on Agenda of next Park and Recreation Commission <br />meeting concerning renaming of Chestnut Park and reminded Council of Councilman <br />Granger's suggestion concerning a new name for this park. (Memo 2/27/67) <br />Councilman Rosselli moved to adjourn to February 28, 1967, 7:30 P. MOORE, City Clerk <br />Minutes of Adjourned Regular Meeting <br />Redwood City Council <br />February 28, 1967 7:30 P.M. <br />Veterans Memorial Building <br />Meeting called to order at 7:30 P. M. by Mayor Herkner. <br />ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present: Councilmen Robert H. Bury, Mary W. <br />Henderson, Paul C. Keckley, John S. Rosselli, Mayor Sidney D. Herkner, and City <br />Clerk Helen C. Moore. Councilmen Floyd D. Granger and Herbert G. Petersen noted <br />absent (Mayor Herkner announced Councilman Petersen had reported he was unable <br />to attend because of illness). <br />Also noted present were City Manager Howard C. Ullrich, Assistant City Manager <br />Henry V. Burget, Deputy City Attorney David Schricker, Police Chief William Faul- <br />stich, Planning Director Ken Schroeter, Director of Public Works J. Louis Scherer, <br />Traffic Engineer Arthur Eskelin, and Deputy City Clerk Marian McCrindle.' <br />Mayor Herkner announced this additional meeting of the Council had been called especially <br />for a further review of the proposed Woodside Road widening and outlined procedure <br />to be followed for presentation of design by City's Staff, with discussion by Coun- <br />cil following, and concluding with an open discussion period to allow those present <br />to participate. <br />
