4'7 6 <br />Councilman Keckley moved to adopt ORDINANCE NO. 1355 APPROPRIATING $40,000 FROM UN- <br />APPROPRIATED BALANCE OF SALES TAX CAPITAL OUTLAY FUND TO PROVIDE FOR THE CON- <br />STRUCTION OF SUBDRAINAGE PROJECT IN VICINITY OF FARM HILL BOULEVARD AND NOB <br />HILL ROAD, seconded by Councilman Henderson. <br />In reply to questions concerning fact monies being appropriated would not be <br />used for this project until certain conditions were met as set by Council, Act- <br />ing City Attorney assured Council that the conditions as specified still ex- <br />isted and monies would not be used until releases and easements received. <br />City Manager reminded Council of the bids that had been reported previously and <br />that before the award of bid was made by the Council, all of the property <br />owners involved must place in escrow the necessary easements and release of <br />City's liability. He again stated the provision which was made for a 45 <br />day holding period before award of contract was felt to be adequate time for <br />the owners of the property involved if they were actually interested, to <br />submit the documents required; that ordinance now proposed would provide fund- <br />ing in thirty days when effective and would be available should award be made, <br />but that if project not to proceed because conditions not met, funds would <br />revert back to its original account at the end of the fiscal year. It was <br />stated final date for either awarding or rejecting bids would be May 4th. <br />Acting City Attorney stated many types of funds have been appropriated <br />previously for specific projects which when not all spent for such projects, <br />reamin available in the next fiscal year. Motion carried on roll call vote, <br />Councilman Granger voting no. <br />Councilman Granger moved to adopt ORDINANCE NO. 1356 APPROPRIATING $2,306 FROM THE <br />SPECIAL DEPOSITS FUND TO THE REDWOOD CITY POLICE YOUTH CLUB TO BE USED FOR <br />YOUTH ACTIVITIES OF A GENERAL BENEFIT TO THE CHILDREN OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried on roll call vote. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved to adopt ORDINANCE NO. 1130.84 ADDING SECTION 60.4.6 <br />TO ORDINANCE NO. 1130, THE REDWOOD CITY ZONING ORDINANCE, REZONING PROPERTY <br />WITHIN THE REDWOOD PENINSULA AREA, seconded by Councilman Keckley and carried <br />on roll call vote. <br />Councilman Bury moved to adopt RESOLUTION N0, 5657 APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXE- <br />CUTION OF ADDENDUM TO AGREEMENT WITH BANK OF AMERICA N.T. & S.A. FOR REGISTER- <br />ATION AGENT SERVICES, seconded by Councilman Petersen. <br />Staff report stated the Resolution of Issuance provided that bonds may be <br />registered with the Paying Agent but that this had been inadvertently omitted <br />from the agreement. It was also stated the charge of $1.00 per bond was the <br />standard charge and considered a very nominal one for the service rendered. <br />Motion carried on roll call vote. <br />Council Committees appointed by Mayor Herkner. Mayor Herkner announced all Council <br />Committees appointed by him at the commencement of his term as Mayor dissolved <br />effective April 15th, in order that his successor might appoint any committees <br />he feels necessary. Mayor Herkner expressed his deep appreciation to those <br />having served on the Council Committees and the excellent results which had. <br />beem obtained from their efforts. <br />He stated Council representative on the County Regional Planning Commission, <br />Councilman Keckley, and the Human Resources Commission, Councilman Rosselli, <br />were the two exceptions as both of these appointments were made by the Council. <br />jai* <br />
