"(d) Increase or decrease of requests compared with <br />the corresponding appropriations for the current year. <br />"(e) Such other information as is required by the <br />Council or that the City Manager may deem advisable to <br />submit. <br />"Sufficient copies of such budget shall be prepared <br />and submitted so that there may be copies on file in the <br />City Clerk's office for inspection by the public, unless <br />the Council shall publish the same in the official <br />newspaper. The Council shall have power to revise, <br />correct or modify said proposed budget in any particular. <br />(a) Said Charter amendment proposal shall be submitted <br />to the electors of the City of Redwood City at the general <br />municipal election to be held in the City on April 9, 1968, <br />in the form of a proposal to amend said Charter by deleting <br />Sections 31 and 45 thereof, and by amending Sections 17, 21, <br />28, and 51 thereof. On the ballots and on the voting machines <br />to be used at said general municipal election, in addition to <br />all other matters required by law to be printed thereon, shall <br />appear the following: <br />PROPOSITION A: Shall the Charter of the City <br />of Redwood City be amended by <br />deleting Sections 31 and 45 and amending <br />Sections 17" 21; 28' and 51� thereof to change <br />the title of the City Engineer to Director of <br />Public Works, to eliminate provisions for a <br />municipal Health Officer and for a Public <br />Service Department, and revising the manner <br />of preparing the annual General Budget? <br />SECTION 3. The Council of the City of Redwood City <br />hereby proposes, on its own motion, to amend the Charter of <br />the City of Redwood City, by deleting Sections 48f, 93, and <br />96 thereof. The specific sections to be deleted read as <br />follows: <br />V <br />"SECTION 48f. WORKING CAPITAL: <br />"The Council shall appropriate One Thousand <br />Dollars ($1,000.00) to the Board for the fiscal year <br />1936-1937 which shall be under the jurisdiction and <br />control of the Board as soon as it is legally <br />constituted." <br />- 6 - <br />
