On the ballots and on the voting machines to be used at said general municipal election, in addition to all other matters required by law to be printed thereon, shall appear the following: PROPOSITION A: Shall the Charter of the City of Redwood City be amended by deleting Sections 31 and 45 and amending Sections 17" 21; 28' and 51� thereof to change the title of the City Engineer to Director of Public Works, to eliminate provisions for a municipal Health Officer and for a Public Service Department, and revising the manner of preparing the annual General Budget? SECTION 3. The Council of the City of Redwood City hereby proposes, on its own motion, to amend the Charter of the City of Redwood City, by deleting Sections 48f, 93, and 96 thereof. The specific sections to be deleted read as follows: V "SECTION 48f. WORKING CAPITAL: "The Council shall appropriate One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) to the Board for the fiscal year 1936-1937 which shall be under the jurisdiction and control of the Board as soon as it is legally constituted." - 6 -
